As you can imagine, Lane Kiffin's short time on the SEC Coaches Teleconference on Wednesday was jam-packed with questions about his job speculation at Ole Miss. Here's what he had to say:

Lane Kiffin on the SEC Coaches Teleconference:

"I love it here. We are in the greatest run that this school has ever had. It's amazing. I'm living in the moment. The players are, too. It's awesome to be a part of."

Asked about possibly leaving Ole Miss before the Egg Bowl:

-Says there is no reason why he wouldn't coach the Egg Bowl next week, amid job speculation.

Asked whether the reports that he spoke with the Louisiana Governor are accurate?

"I won't comment on that either way."

Asked about possibly leaving Ole Miss before the postseason, or the Egg Bowl, or speculation about other jobs...

The answer was the same each time: "I'm not speaking about other jobs."

On the timing of this job rumor speculation with the CFP run ahead:

"Yeah, if a team wanted a playoff coach, this was bound to happen."

Asked about what his family learned on their recent trips to Gainesville and Baton Rouge:

"Like I said, I'm not commenting on speculation or stories of things having to do with other jobs."

"I've said that ten times. But I understand, you have to ask them."

“Hey Lane, what exactly happened on 01/12/2010?” “You’re not commenting on that also, got it.”

As always, if the answer isn't NO, im not leaving OM, it means there's a ton of truth to all rumors.
No comment, means I can't say it or I'll be in a ton of shite

Wow. He’s beyond gone. Ole Miss hasn’t to feel like they’re about to lose their Coach. Wherever he goes, lol.

No matter what happens this is genius by his agent. Lane's about to be the highest paid coach in the country regardless of what happens in the playoffs

Under Johnny Vaught, Ole Miss won a National Championships in 1960, and had quite a run in the 1950's and 1960's. " We are in the greatest run this school has ever known".

Go check that, never an AP or a Coach’s poll Natty. Why do you think the only title they actually have is 2003 SEC WEST DIVISION CO-CHAMPIONS???????

The guy acts like he is 12 most of the time, trolling other coaches on social media. Now he is playing a bazaar game of chicken with Ole Miss and everybody else and it is possible it is just for his own amusement. He may be doing all this for attention. Does LSU really want to deal with this guy? I know hes good but.....

Why do ppl want him so bad? Soon as a better job comes open, he’ll hang ten on you. Dude is actually considering bailing on Ole Miss in the middle of a playoff run.

Is he considering that?

Long game. He knows that OM isn't going to win out.

He has gotten Ole Miss to the playoffs. His record in 2023 was 11-2. In 2024 it was 10-3. He's undefeated so far this year. Once again, this is at Ole Miss. Basically, he's done what Kelly could not do, all at a lesser program, with fewer resources and less money.

"Coach Kiffin, when you get settled at LSU, will you be joining Coach O for levee runs?"

So the BR and Gainesville trips really were about other jobs. Thanks for confirming that, Lane.
