Former Ole Miss star defensive end Princewill Umanmielen is expected to transfer to LSU, according to multiple reports on Wednesday.

Umanmielen officially entered the portal on Wednesday morning after a delay caused by his previously signed contract with Ole Miss to return next season.

The Manor, Texas native played in 12 games this past season and recorded 45 total tackles, led the team with 9 sacks, and had 1 interception.

Umanmielen was the No. 1 edge rusher and No. 5 overall player in the transfer portal. He will have one year of eligibility remaining at LSU.

Between the veterans and freshman coming in, our defensive front 7 is about to be the best in football.

Good defensive lines make everyone on defense better.
Pressure QB, stop the run. If you can’t score, you can’t win.

Please....many of the Ole Miss fans are already on suicide watch, need we go on?

Suicide watch losing players off of defense gave up 25 points a game last year. I don’t think so.

So you promoted the coordinator of the defense you are trashing to HC?

I guess Pete Golding didn’t have the relationship with his defensive players that Kane Kiffin does. Talk about a sinking ship, that’s Ole Miss.

If he & others give LSU a top 5 defender the Tigers will be squarely in the hunt for a NC. It comes down to the offense. We’ll have to wait and see on that.

If true, and although just one year of eligibility, l am looking forward to Ole Myth's continued misery and angst!

It will be interesting to see if he is allowed to enroll for Spring semester and participate in Spring Practice. The deadline to enroll was Tuesday evening.

I want the best players, and from where I’m looking from, Ole Piss don’t have the best, maybe a few… let’s move on from recruiting from them.

My guy. They were a play from playing in the national championship with multiple missing coaches. They had Dawgs playing.

I have high hopes, but no expectations for next year. I’m excited to see how things play out, but it’s year one.

I would be excited to get this young man! However, if he recently signed an agreement to play at ole miss this year, then I think that he should honor that commitment.

I don’t believe in going back on your word….and if he signed a contract, he gave his word.
