LSU landed its third commitment for the 2025 class on Tuesday when legacy tight end JD LaFleur gave his verbal pledge to the coaching staff.

The 6’6, 230-pound, four-star tight end from Sulphur High School is the son of former LSU All-American tight end David LaFleur who played for the Tigers from 1993-1996 and then played four years with the Dallas Cowboys.

JD, recently camped at LSU this June and was one of the top-performing tight ends. He committed to the Tigers over offers from Texas A&M, Baylor, Miami, and others.

Big Dave was a monster. The son would do well to be half as good.

I was just thinking the same, but his Pops was 6'7 I think, right. So, maybe he grows another inch or 2, but with the size he is right now he could play TE in spot passing situations in college. Lol

I took a summer course at LSU-E in ‘94 with his dad. We talked LSU football a lot that summer. Sadly his pop played during lean years
