Breaking: LSU To Part Ways With Matt McMahon And Hire Will Wade

College Basketball Insider Jon Rothstein has reported that LSU will be parting ways with Matt McMahon and hiring Will Wade back to Baton Rouge.

A big piece of the Will Wade reunion was LSU hiring McNeese Athletic Director Heath Schroyer, a senior deputy within the LSU athletics department. Schroyer previously hired Wade at McNeese in 2023.

McNeese has confirmed that Athletic Director Heath Schroyer has accepted a job at LSU as Senior Deputy AD/Executive Director of External Relations for the LSU System.

Wade reportedly met with NC State officials on Wednesday night to strike a deal and remain with the Wolfpack, but no agreement was reached.
