Wade LITERALLY said he would only possibly want 9.4% of the guys in this portal.

Why would anyone think Mackinnon is in that group? And I'm not sure Dedan (Isiaah) Thomas is either.

Wade is very particular about the guys he wants on the floor.
Wade wouldn't even give Mackinnon a second look after first seeing him play.

I swear some of you fall in love with these honkies after the first shot they make.
I think the play is most likely the Trinidad Chambliss method.

Surely Wade's buddy Landry has a judge that owes him a favor for situations like this.

We ARE talking Louisiana politics here.
Duke did the same with Chris Duhon's momma back in the late 90s. They made her VP of a Durham bank if I remember correctly.
The 2 I can't stand the most are Pricky V and GAY Bilas. They were both screaming for Wade's scalp 5 years ago.

Bilas especially because he played at Duke, and is balls deep in their program and knows how they've recruited for decades, but just ignores it.

I've had multiple top HS assistant coaches (think Montverde,Huntington prep, Oak Hill type schools) tell me Duke is the worst, and they have the most pristine rep due to all the BS media coverage they get from figs like Bilas.
Hold on a dadgummed minute!!!!

Rick Pitino looked PRICK Vitale squarely in his glass eye and exclaimed: "I swear I didn't know about the hookers PRICKY. That sounds like something Will Wade would do!!!!"

Watch yaself TU.
Yep, the change in tone towards Wade from sharkshit has been AMAZING to witness.

Moscona and Ruffino are 2 "baseball bros" that have this RIDICULOUS FANTASY that baseball needs to stay second in line among the fan base, and funded that way at LSU.

They loved McMahon because they hate or at least don't care at all about men's basketball, and he had LSU firmly planted in the gutter, and they certainly didn't want Wade to dig us out from it. I believe it's as simple as that.

I'm so happy that we've got real men in charge now that are properly aligning the 2 major sports with the funding (particularly NIL) that they deserve.

We're about to experience unprecedented (at LSU), sustained success in the 2 majors that will bring us notoriety we've never had before, and I can't wait.
I see you don't live in the real world. I hope you get better.
I'm not sure if you're being sarcastic, or are just stupid. It's pretty well known Pope flew over to shoot his shot with Diang, and Kansas tried to get Santo eligible last year. The other schools have also been mentioned with the players we signed.
Kentucky, Kansas, Duke, UNC, and Arizona were in play for all of these foreign pros Wade is signing.

Other than that, you're right. No one else wanted these dudes.
I wonder if Wade is buddies with a Louisiana governor that might be able to call in a favor or 4 and get these moflos eligible. Hmmm?
He CLEARLY has the best 5 year start as HC in school history.

It's almost like these "Wade worshippers " like winning or something. I know, CRAZY right???

I LOVE Will Wade. But I don't give a FLUCK if he, Matt McMahon, or Charles Manson is the coach as long as they're doing the job.

There are no choir boys winning big time in the 2 major sports. Some just have people fooled into believing that. Just WIN, baby!

I knew your meaning. I just think it's common sense that along with all the moves made to attract Wade, they also lined up NIL MEGABUCKS to close the deal on his hiring.

The actual amount is unknown.

I agree that these numbers are most likely inflated, or possibly as another poster said, includes ALL.the money involved; paying the player, paying off the team, etc..

I don't think I'm terribly off base with my speculation that along with firing Woodturd, and hiring every Wade ally known to man to attract him here, that boosters were lined up to sweeten the deal and provide Wade with WHATEVER he needed financially to put a winner on the floor.

Whatever that number may be. 15, 20, 30 million dollars.

I think he's basically said this when asked about how much NIL he's got to work with.
Well, sweet 16 is only half way to the title, so no shite.

Football is my favorite sport.
Yep, I have a VERY STRANGE OBSESSION with winning in college basketball and not getting the shite kicked out of us on a regular basis.

You're right, that IS really weird. Most people (like you) just sit there and take the arse whippings.
So you don't believe it's considerably easier to win a college baseball title than college basketball title?

You're on the record with that statement, right?

Everybody tries to win in basketball. A few try to win in baseball.
I have nothing to base this on other than using common sense, but I think the payroll IS $30-40 million, at least for year 1.

Wade pretty much said he had a blank check at the introductory press conference, and I bet the boosters had to commit that amount to get him to leave Raleigh.

Just speculation on my part.
2 titles in a college sport statistically speaking no one gives a FLYING FLUCK about.

It's EONS easier to win a title in college baseball than it is in men's basketball. I know you Jethros don't want to here this, but it's true.
