Former LSU star Alex Bregman delivered another big performance for the Chicago Cubs on Tuesday night, going 2-for-5 with two RBIs in a 4-3 win over the White Sox.
Bregman tied the game with a two-out RBI single in the seventh inning before coming through again in the ninth after a one hour and a half rain delay, driving home Nico Hoerner with a walk-off single to give the Cubs their second straight walk-off victory.
Bregman has been swinging a hot bat lately, hitting .359 with 14 hits, four home runs and 12 RBIs over his last 10 games. That stretch includes his monster three-home run performance against the Washington Nationals last week. Bregman is now batting .257 with 16 home runs and 63 RBIs on the season.
