After Alabama's second loss, ESPN's Paul Finebaum is setting off the Crimson Tide alarm that first-year head coach Kalen DeBoer is now on the hot seat...

“No, but the fact that you could ask that question legitimately and have people go, ‘Okay, that makes sense.’ I am gobsmacked by that, but it’s a real question because of how far this program has fallen in three weeks," Finebaum said on Get Up, via On3. "He has a $70 million buyout. He’s not even barely halfway through his first season. He’s still respected by a lot of people, but he’s done a lousy job.”

Alabama lost 39 players to the Transfer Portal when Nick Saban left. Many of them went to some really big schools like Texas and Ohio State. Did the Alabama fan base just think that they wouldn’t be a short term effect?

5-2 and he's on the hot seat. Laughable. But I guess pretty much no one can follow Nick Saban. If I were him I'd take the money and run if they wanna pay it.

he's not on the hot seat now, but if he goes 9-3 this year, and follows it up with another similar season next year, the rumblings will get very loud. I thought it was absurd to give DeBoer a contract with such a massive buyout, but ADs nowadays are just throwing truckloads of money around.
