Can’t wait to go to the Bama game in November dressed in Bama gear so I can storm the field if they win.

JackDempsey•20 months

So the players put in all the work, suffer injuries and hard hits to win a game that is all of a sudden a loss because drunk 19 year old students storm the field. Yeah, that makes sense.

shoelessjoe•20 months

What happens if the opposing team loses and they storm the field? Does Alabama lose the game right there?

PeleofAnalytics•20 months

I would guess the type of opposing fan that would storm after a loss are clearly decked out in the opposing fan gear/colors and number in the single digits. You probably need to outnumber the players on the court/field to be considered a storming.

Dumbest fricking thing I’ve read in 30 years

Mister Ice•20 months

What an idiot. Here’s an idea. Don’t play the game. That will stop it.

This dude must be a riot at parties.

NASA_ISS_Tiger•20 months

Yeah I can see opposing teams' fans storming the field to take the game out of the players and coaches hands there and tweaking the system. It'll happen at least once!

DeafVallyBatnR•20 months

Alabama doesn't storm courts or field. That is why he said it.

Sir, that era is ovah.

Pretty stupid Greg

If they really wanted to stop it (which they don't), they would pull the student/season tickets from anyone that goes on the field/court. There are cameras everywhere and you could run it through some AI program and get everyone's names in a minute. Would people storm the court if they knew they could never go to another home game? And nobody is going to cover their face because taking pictures and being recognized is why a lot of them do it. But, like i said, the schools really don't want it to stop because it is free publicity.

I've been trying to open a crypto trading account for weeks now. All of them want me to take a pic of myself with my cell phone. I tell them I got a DL and a pic of me taken with a regular camera. But that ain't good enough, so it's a nogo.

I'm guessing that a cell phone takes a more biometrically intricate pic than a regular digital camera takes...IDK. But I ain't giving some AI robot in the future an easy target when picking me out of a crowd. Big Brother-enabling, commie cck suckers!

If they really want a good picture of you, they can get it. If you fly, they can get it. If you go into a bank, they can get it. If you go into a gov't b building (or really any modern office building), they can get it. If you go into a Walmart, they can get it. If you walk into a stadium or arena, likely they can sync any security video up to the ticket associated with you. I can keep going but unless you want to really live off the grid, there isn't much you can do about your picture being taken and put in a database. All they have to do is place a high definition camera in the right spot and they can get what they want.

Idiot!

LSU•20 months

Dumb idea, but I'm not convinced that would actually even stop it entirely with the ignorance of many college students.

Aubie_Sux•20 months

Every time BAMA lost in football the past 18 years the field was stormed..it’s facts.(Guve or take the first few yrs under Saban) I can guarantee no other school has had their field stormed more than ALABAMA

kjntgr•20 months

That wouldn’t stop anything

beauchristopher•20 months

Ridiculous idea.

Commie mofo...

The Gumps will win a game and their fans will storm the field. They will be declared the loser……until some arbitrary bullshite is reviewed in Birmingham and they are given back the win

imjustafatkid•20 months

Good luck finding many examples of "the gumps" storming the field of play.

PBD4BAMA•20 months

Just put shock collars on all the fans.

Violent Hip Swivel•20 months

Students always lose the court storming. All you have to do is ID the students after the fact and penalize them in some way that they wouldn't like.
