Oregon is rated at # 7 in total team talent and Tennessee is rated at #19.

Both QBs have scrambling ability, but Nix is a better scrambler.

Tennessee has a better run defense, but Oregon isn’t too far behind.

Both teams are terrible in pass defense with Tennessee being slightly worse.

They are about equal in total offense and total points scored.

Tennessee is more battle tested.

Lanning knows Kirby better.

Lanning may know Kirby better but they didn’t prove anything

Tennessee because their fans think Saturday was a fluke.

Oregon. I think people are writing off USC too easily though. They could beat Oregon in p12 champ game and end up in it. UCLA could beat Oregon in a rematch and make it too. If Clemson fixes their crap they could get in with one loss.

We destroyed both but Oregon was much worse than Tennessee. And Bo Nix. It’s not even close IMO

Neither. Bring on TCU and Michigan.

I'll take Oregon.

I just don't believe they can play a physical enough brand of ball to beat top SEC schools.

Tough call.

Bo’s got a horrible track record against UGA, but he’s playing very well right now. Easily playing the best ball of his career.

Tennessee would probably have more motivation because we pretty well pantsed them in their program’s biggest game in 25 years and there’s more personal history between the two than there is us and Oregon.

For the record, I don’t know that either team has much of a shot against our “A” game, but it is tough to beat a good team twice.

But, let’s go whip MSU and Kentucky and see what happens

Don't forget to factor into Nix's great play right now is the fact that he is going against west coast defenses.

As for Tennessee or Oregon, it doesn't really matter. Playing our game, UGA will beat either one.

That’s true. It’s also true that he has the best supporting cast of his career, which is factoring in heavily too.

Not saying I think we’d be at any major risk, but I do think the game would be more competitive. Not exactly a high bar, I know, when the first game was 49-3

It seems really likely we will play either UT or Oregon in a rematch. Oregon seems like they can run the table and so do the Vols. I'd rather play Oregon. There seem like some tough scenarios playing out. So does the Michigan-Ohio St loser drop out of the top 4 playoff rankings? It seems like if TCU runs the table they are in. I think the playoff committee wants a mix of conferences. I think if the Vols blow out teams in the remaining schedule they may get a jump over the OSU-Michigan loser. Still what if the OSO-Mich winner loses the Big10 championsip? There could be several 1 loss teams on the outside looking in.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they magically had UT or Oregon in that scenario jump to 3 so they’d only rematch us in the natty. Basically they’ll hope Ohio or Michigan can knock them off in the semi.

I don’t want Tennessee even in the final 4. Not because I’m frightened of them; just because I don’t want them to even be able to say they’ve been in the CFP.

If Oregon wins out, they will jump TN.

yah, rooting for Oregon. I think it's going to be chaos the last few weeks however. Hopefully we play LSU in the SECCG. I realize Bama is down but don't want any part of a motivated Bama team.

I love how this was "basically an elimination game" and people are crying two days later for the Vols to still be in the CFP after getting their shite pushed in. So I'd rather see Oregon again.

^^^This- we will beat either one. Oregon can be a counter-balance to USCw. Don't want UT getting the juice of making the CFP. Us older guys know what UT can do when recruiting well....let that sleeping dawg lie!
