Since this year of college football has had an enjoyable bit of the unexpected, it got me thinking- what happens if South Carolina ran the table to finish the year? Talk about a season swing from firing the coach to going 9-3. Finishing the season on a roll is certainly possible. Could it lead to a back door entry into the post-season?
USCe Season Schedule
Okie, Aggy, Arky, and Lil' Ole Clemson are all certainly winnable games. And USC beating UGA at home, while unlikely, could still be a tough game for the Bulldogs in front of a hyped Gamecock crowd.

I know, it's a crazy thought but certainly not the craziest thing ever posted on tRant. Besides, crazy is what we live for in this sport anyhow. Dream away and dream on Cocky fans, it might happen this year.

absolutely it could

at least 1 9-3 SEC is very likely to make the playoffs

reality is, it’s more likely to be Bama or LSU (since they are bigger brands and more respected- UGA also falls in this category, it’s not “fair” but it’s true)

Texas is in that mix, too. They would probably have the best shot at 9-3. Say, a close loss at LSU but wins against Ole Miss, Tennessee, Ohio State, etc.

UGA would have to lose 2 games in final stretch which isn't a good look to committee.

This guy knows the gamecocks. My money is on mateer making our secondary look like butt crust and he dink and dunks us to death. Especially due to his recent struggles. This is gonna be the comeback game.
