that's going to help us the most in the home stretch? Of course, this is speculation on our part and we certainly needed to get some folks healthy.

OL hopefully gets healthy.
1st/2nd team reps get spread out.
This is an opportunity for freshmen/rs freshmen to earn playing time. If someone has been performing on scout team, they have an opportunity to make a move in our system.
Coaches are hopefully self scouting.
Tells for snap count and playcalls should hopefully result on adjustments.
Run Frazier on more zone plays.
Adjust box counts against mobile QBs earlier in the game. We arent good enough at DL to defeat lead power QB runs with a light box.
Let Ellis get more work getting his head around on deep pass routes.
I am guessing the answer is no, but test other CBs to see if they have the athleticism to do the same.

I've been a little out of the loop. Who's hurt on the OL?

There is a difference between hurt and injured.
C and LG have been pretty rough for several weeks.
It is football. Everyone is hurt. It isnt an excuse.
But it also isn't a coincidence that LSU looks tougher after a bye week.
Auburn looks tougher after a bye week.
South Carolina looks tougher after a bye week.
We do not appear to have the OL depth that we have had in the past.
Hopefully, we look a lot stronger in the trenches going forward.

I would never say Auburn was a good loss.. but it might end up being a good thing, as much as I dislike those bastards!
It’s easier to get a players attention and for them to buy in after a loss, especially after that ugly display of football!
1. Overall health of players
2. Special teams
3. Tackling
4. 3rd down defense

All good points but I would add taking care of the football of offense.
We were lucky in the Bama game; we had 4 fumbles and recovered all of them.
We weren't so lucky vs Auburn; Gunner threw 2 INT's and a fumble on the last drive all of which contributed mightily to the loss.
I know balance is much more optimal with the ball in one arm and the other arm away from the ball to help with agility but I think our players should be wrapping up the ball with both arms leading up to contact.

Georgia has a tradition of getting its shite together on defense for the home stretch during the two weeks before the Florida game, going all the way back to the Richt days.
I just hope Schuman and them don't overthink it. LSU's defense whooped Auburn's offense the conventional way. Schuman decided to confuse Byrun Brown by giving him 50 different cute looks and show off all the different cool packages we'd been working so hard on. The quarterback draw play when we had four down linemean and zero linebackers in the box was concerning.

We didn't have a functioning QB for 3.5 quarters was the difference. I live him but no more blows to the head.

The loss is pretty simple: Gunner got hurt and cost us 3 turnover and 3 pts from the FG debacle.
Either Gunner needs to play better or he needs to be taken out when he's injured.
Why even have a backup if youre just going to let your QB1 piss away the game from about halfway through the first qtr until 5 mins left in the game.

Gave up 192 yards rushing to a team that was just held to 66 last Saturday.
Also, the stragegy of pulling Gunner out of the game and putting the backup in if Gunner's having an off day would be a novel and interesting one. When was the last time a clear-cut #1 quarterback was pulled during the middle of a game for a backup at any level of football? It'd basically be like the Rams putting Stetson Bennett in the game if Stafford was having an off day.

Well he was not clear cut QB1 against Auburn. He was clearly injured. Again, why have a back up QB if youre just going to continue to let QB1 piss down his leg for the better part of 3 quarters?
Its not a novel idea to bench a struggling QB. It happens all the time. Especially due to injury. Sometimes you need to bench a player when he's clearly injured and playing like shite. He wasnt even on the field when he's supposed to be.
There was clearly something wrong with him. Thats exactly the time to bench him.

I see where you what you're saying now. You think Gunner was injured. But a stinger in the non-throwing shoulder isn't something that would debiliate a quarterback. Before the 90-whatever yard drive at the end, Gunner was 13-22 for 200 yards. The two picks were bad, but you make it seem like he was Cooper Rush for the Falcons or something.
Putting Puglisi in the game when you're convinced that Gunner isn't injured would just be bizarre.

And in terms of this one, when does this happen all the time? The only time I can remember a Georgia starting QB being yanked from the game in the last 20 or 30 years was Dwan Mathis. And Dwan Mathis wasn't #3 in the country in passer rating and didn't finish 7th in the Heisman in 2019.

Let me tell you about the time Nick Saban benched his starting QB, a few of us remember...

That's a really solid reference point and legitimate response. But the "it happens all the time" part, I don't know about that.

I dont think he was injured, I watched the game and know he was injured. You could see it from his play.

It absolutely can. What kind of statement is this? Pain in your left shoulder will absolutely be worse when you're winding up to throw a football. Is it as bad as if it was his throwing arm? Of course not but it still affected his play.
Also, how does a shoulder injury make you forget youre the holder for FGs. Either his shoulder injury was distracting him or he had more than just a shoulder injury from when his helmet whipped into the ground.

Brother get real. Everyone in the stadium knew Gunner was injured. There is no question about that.

Hurts was injured and saban left him in for a while, but when hurts couldn't use his legs, his X factor, that when Saban knew that if we have to win by straight up passing ability, Tua was the better option. And he was right. So again, that was an injury situation. Hurts was limping around on the field and could barely put weight on that ankle.

I mean just last week former 5 star QB was benched at the half and didn't sustain any injury during the game.
Is it really your position that it is uncommon to bench a struggling QB in college football?
