Which ACC team made the playoff over an SEC or Big 10 team with the same or better record?

Miami was the only ACC team in the playoff last year. They were a 10 seed and knocked out higher-seeded SEC and Big 10 teams before losing to Indiana. They were Indiana's strongest competition.

Duke didn't go last year because their record didn't warrant an invite. Nobody outside of Durham thinks they should have gone. But JMU and Tulane didn't belong there any more than Duke. And the B12 champ got shut out by an Oregon team that lost the next round.

Two years prior a 13-0 FSU team got left out of a 4-team playoff because their starting QB was injured. The CFP selection process has always been subjective and has never shown a bias toward under-performing ACC teams.

Buster Faulkner will torch that defense.

Impressive win by Michigan there. Beating the MAC will surely solidify their spot in the top 25.

PSU’s toughest non-conference game (Marshall) is behind you in week 1 and you close out with Minnesota, Rutgers, and Maryland. Michigan is one of the three “ranked” teams on your schedule.

Only time I watch ESPN is when they’re airing a game I care about. Their other content is garbage. I’m old enough to remember Sports Center being essential viewing. It’s unwatchable now. They should work on giving their main audience a reason to watch. Instead they paint a college football icon as toxically masculine. The Megan Rapinoe mindset has ruined ESPN. They can f*ck right off.

Great debut for King, loved seeing him rush for the game winner. Beck was also impressive, looked very comfortable. Fun seeing those two on same field again.

Go back to 11 game seasons, smaller conferences, auto invites for conf champs, at large to fill out a 16 team field. Higher seed gets home field. Not complicated. Works for FCS and NFL. Let bowl sponsors cut deals to host games at “neutral” sites if they want. But get the product right; the current system is destroying it.

FSU’s prima donna culture predates Norvell. Absolutely fair to fault him for letting it get out of control, but it didn’t start with him. FSU has been drinking their own kool aid since the ‘99 season, at least.

FSU is going to legitimize the selection committee’s decision. Partly a side effect of players hitting the portal, but also in part from having too many prima donnas in the roster. You’d be doing the ACC a solid by taking them off our hands.
