Does OU deserve to be ranked if they beat UK?

OU is favored last I checked. I’ve been pretty vocal at least twice now that post Michigan I said around 50th and after UGA, probably 55. After the defense beating UT(that’s who won) I would say they’re still above 30. Imo at best maybe 25th if they win. What kind of a run(OU’sD) would have to do to be top 15?

This is the most likely scenario. There needs to be more evidence that OU can string together a series of wins. And, what if Texas drops this week? That takes away some of the luster of that win.

Uh yes. That would be two ranked wins and a 5-2 record.

I agree with that. If somehow that defense can weather the storm and they run it to A&M, I think 15th is a fair ranking.

Semantics, sorry but we would unfortunately be 4-2. But being 4-2, how would you rank them in say 3 point win. Let’s not kid ourselves, we ain’t scoring much on offense.

I’m not sure if I should be mad about that. The odds of OU running the table is quite slim and watching Texas nose dive would be fun…I guess you could say OU has 3 bad wins lol

Yes. OU is definitely one of the best 20 teams in the country. Maybe ten. Those freakish turnovers won’t keep happening. With that said….they have to beat Kentucky or none of what I said will be true.

I didn’t mean to imply OU’s wins were inferior. Beating Texas was a huge step forward. I was simply responding to the OP’s question regarding the polls and agreeing it will take slightly more than a win over Kentucky to break into the top 25 (we’ve already seen how the pollsters have treated them).

As an OU fan said above, just keep winning (except that one game. . . . )

Shite. My bad. I type fast. I didn’t mean the word mad at all. I’m sorry, also I agree with you.
