Interesting line. Not sure why we are favored when we’ve won 2 sec games in the last 2 years

Bama hangover and South Carolina looked better last game and has had a bye week to prepare?

All I got.

Look at how many SEC teams have looked awful after big wins this year and a bye.

I guess. UTK hasn't been able to pass the ball particularly well, and that's where SC is easily the most vulnerable on D. Run defense has been solid, albeit not phenomenal.

I legit don't know how I'd bet this game if I were a degenerate. Likely take the under, but that heavily favors a UTK win. If SC can hit 28 points, I don't think UTK has the firepower to keep up. But I also don't think SC can hit 28 on that defense without a scoop-n-score or a special teams tuddy, and SC's special teams have been pretty average this year.

The emotional let down spot has been king this season, that one is ripe for it

Away game, cigar hangover, and SC has a propensity to play spoiler.

With that being said, Vols by fiddy.

The theme of the year has been the letdown spot. If that's all you played this year then you're raking in the cash. Obviously the last impression of UT is highly impressive but the preceding week the team struggled to beat Arkansas in Fayetteville. Carolina also looked amazing against UF. UT plays a style that should travel well but what if they fall behind early and have to rely on MacIntrye?

I think the line is reasonable.

Vols coming off a big rivalry win, might be ripe for a letdown, hangover game.

SCar coming off a bye week, extra week to prepare and recover. Home game for the Cocks.

I think that is the best thing that could happen to this team to keep them grounded. A nice reminder that everyone thinks they're a fluke.

As to why... I think it's simple. Tennessee's offense is unreliable and our wins have all come from a defense that makes other teams look awful. SC is a tough place to play and has had its moments. We're coming off a very emotional win and it would be a good time for an upset.

It makes me feel a little better to see the public going hard in that direction. Carolina has some really talented players though. I’m really hating that additional conference game right now
