Is this an SEC talent shuffle or a small talent exodus from the conference or simply a culling of the weak-minded OR a player scramble for better deals elsewhere or ... All of the Above?

The big question should be how many starters/contributors are in the portal. There has always been some natural turnover but obviously now with no longer having to sit out it has increased. However, if it’s mainly reserves for your team in the portal is that all that crucial assuming you have a good recruiting class coming in?

They're not going to enter the portal with a championship on the line. They want dat ring.

If you are healthy, I’d imagine any guy on a playoff team is going to wait until the playoffs are over. Isn’t like they need to officially be in the portal to start back channel discussions.

It'd be funny if everyone from aTm in the portal was from Jimbo's best class ever.

Would be fun to see an unassuming D1 with a strong NIL sponsor snag a bunch and become relevant immediately. Would enjoy that.

Many players looking for playing time but may not find another place to land.

It will probably take a few years for this to sort itself out, but it will.

ROI from local NIL money would be interesting to know. Public scholl players should be required to make their NIL contracts public, like coaches need to.

And when these players advertise that they narrowed their destinations down to however many...let's have each school's bid next to their name. Expose it for what it is...an auction.

The NIL contract technically has nothing to do with the school. I doubt they could pass a rule like that.
