Mostly agree, just not on #6's win quota. I don't think Shough needs to win any games to keep us from drafting a QB, but he does have to play well and give KM enough confidence in him to go Edge in round 1. If he loses and looks bad doing it, we're prob deciding between Mendoza, Moore, or Sellers.

Made some throws, missed on some. We had completely abandoned the run by the time he came in so there wasn’t any run support. Overall I’d say I’m optimistic and look forward to seeing how he will play given a week of starter reps in practice, and a game plan specific to his skill set.

Are you thinking we would trade for him for a half-season?

Lean in to it, start treating yourself to better coffee that you can pay even more for.
The games have been entertaining to watch. Might be because I've had no expectation to win any of them, but we've been more competitive than I thought we would be. Probably my biggest ray of hope is thinking if Kellen can get Rattler to play as well as he has, imagine how good we'll look with real talent back there!
Yep. Our tackles, Kendre at RB, and the two young safeties are good foundational pieces for us.

Adding a good EDGE and figuring out a top 20 QB and we’re in playoff position every season.
True, it is way too early for that. But let's not forget the era of excellence that the 1980 team ushered in. Only 20 years after that single-win season, we edged the Rams for our first playoff win!
Maybe they can serenade us with the classic Latin flair of Malagueña!
This isn't arguing your point (or supporting it), I just thought it was interesting that so far none of the players drafted out of this trade have been very good:

Bryce Young for Carolina

Bears:
Darnell Wright
Tyrique Stevenson
Caleb Williams
Luther Burden
Only valid reason is if he didn't want to put Rattler in a 2-minute offense before half
You should probably know that Loomis is the bean counter - always has been. For better or worse, he lets the scouting dept. and his HC dictate player picks.

re: So does Foskey get released?

If Diggs hadn't clearly outperformed Foskey, the guarantee and special teams contribution might be a factor. Foskey has days left with the Saints, unless some freak injury happens.
Was distracted by my kids, is MegaVele playing with the starters?

He reminds me of a mix between Marques Colston and Calvin Johnson, but throw out all of the bad qualities.

re: When will the cut some vets?

Cutting Ruiz would result in $14mm in dead cap next season. This is what yall want to do?
True, the Saints often take lesser skilled white guys in the first round over more talented minorities.

ETA: bc they are racists
