If Texas A&M gets rid of Jimbo Fisher they will be dropping off truck loads of cash for years. What a hire...
quote:

Given that Fisher's contract is fully-guaranteed, the buyout is astronomical. If he was fired today, Texas A&M would owe him $76.8 million. That is, of course, assuming he was not fired for cause. His buyout numbers by year are below.

2023: $76.8 million
2024: $67.55 million
2025: $58.2 million
2026: $48.75 million
2027: $39.2 million
2028: $29.55 million
2029: $19.8 million

If only Woodward could have closed the deal and got him to come to LSU. What a swing and miss for LSU. Jimbo is an incredible over achiever.

That's how desperately stupid college sports have become to win at all cost. Atm is probably the most desperate program of all.

Old jimbo ain't going anywhere anytime soon. Aggies are in some deep shite. To buy that contract out anytime soon is going to be a hard pill to swallow. And Aggies are all about swallowing too.

95% arent going to stay that motivated once they are completely set for life like that. You need clauses to make sure that the money is earned for motivational purposes. Takes a very special person to stay that motivated when they are filthy rich guaranteed.

Hopefully Scott Woodward don't sign any LSU coach to a contract like that as soon as they win one national championship.
