8 Tennessee Football Coaches Refused Pay Cuts Put Forward By Athletic Department

I was released from a University during the pandemic due to 'reduction in budget'... I would have happily volunteered to a pay cut.

They are probably working harder now than during a normal year.

This speaks more to the fact that many of these coaches think they are getting let go after this year so why take a pay cut. Remember Pruitt fired the d line coach during a game a few weeks ago. I wouldn’t take a cut either after that.

You want to bitch about them, but a contract is a contract. Of course, the should be fired for sucking.

You agree to a price. That is the price. If the school made $160 million off of football, do they approach the coaches and give then more money than was in their contract?

That is what the term "voluntary" means. Considering who they coach for, kinda ironic, huh?
