A soccer player in Indonesia tragically died after a lightning bolt struck the 35-year-old on the pitch during a match...
quote:

The deadly incident occurred Saturday at the Siliwangi Stadium ... when Septain Raharja, playing in a friendly for FBI Subang, suddenly collapsed after being struck. Teammates and others came rushing over to help.

Rahajra, who suffered a severe burn, was still breathing after the strike and was transported to a local hospital, according to a local report, but later died.

F'n nailed him with a direct hit. No suffering, just there one minute and gone the next.

look at you thinking a roof is going to stop that.

What? Yes a roof would stop that. Being in a house house hit by lightening is not nearly as bad as a direct hit by lightnening

This kind of changes my thinking about weather delays in ball games. This video should be shown when a delay is announced. We never know when our time may come.

Yeah. I was at a fb game last year & they made the fb teams, cheerleaders, & band leave to safety.....but the fans had to stay in the open metal stands.

Now I understand there's not much room to use, but it was awkward that my safety wasn't addressed.

You can’t be responsible for your own safety? Need big daddy government to tell you to seek shelter because if lightning??

If it's causing the teams & officials leave the field, you should address the audience too.

Wow! Just walked a few steps and directly hit from above! What a shock (no pun intended) for the other players to witness that!
