New Tennessee coach Butch Jones and his staff sent 102 letters to Tennessee recruit Stanton Truitt. Truitt told ESPN the following regarding the letters...
quote:

“When I went to open it (his mailbox), it would not budge. I pulled it down, and then some of the letters were hanging out, but they were all tied together by a rubber band.

“I was thinking there was no way these came from the same school. But I kept pulling on them and I thought the mailbox was going to break, but when I got them out I found out that all 102 of them were from Tennessee! It was crazy.”

Truitt said that the letters were inspirational, and each letter would say something different like “Stanton, we love you,” or “Vol Nation.”

"My school is shitty and inferior to other powers in the SEC, so lets flood the kid's mailbox."

Yup. That's exactly why Nick Saban did it to Kamara last year. Because Bama is terrible. Good call.

I think it's stupid, but you're comment is retarded.

Is this a trend now? My school is shitty and inferior to other powers in the SEC, so lets flood the kid's mailbox. If I was a recruit, I'd be pissed at getting 100+ letters from the same damn school. tl;dr IMO.
