It was even reported back then that Kiffin wanted the job, Arky wanted to hire him but he wanted to wait until Raiders season was over and Arky didn't want to wait. Bobby P didn't GAF and bailed on Falcons with the quickness.

LoL, No. Kiffin is delusional. Petrino was hired in Dec 2007 for the 2008 season. Kiffin wasnt fired until Sept 2008 from the Raiders

Monte Kiffin was dc under Lou Holtz at Arkansas so Lane lived in Fayetteville as a kid.It was a successful time for awhile in our program.I could see how it would draw some interest from him.

Lane Kiffin, warts and all, is desperately needed to re-invigorate this program. Imagine Kiffin's offense and Arandas defense. I can dream.

We really need to appreciate what a treasure we have in Larry Leo before he gets hired away by The Advocate or NOLA.com or The Reveille.

I actually would have loved him as head coach at LSU compared to our current hire. At least we know the Offense would be good. Not sure if Aranda would have stayed though.
