Here's How Nick Saban Feels About His
John David Mercer-USA TODAY Sports
Alabama head coach Nick Saban let his true feelings be known about his unauthorized biography “Saban, the Making of a Coach” at his Thursday presser...
quote:

“I just want everybody to know that I’m opposed to an unauthorized biography on anybody,” Saban said. “If some person that you don’t even know (is) trying to profit by your story or someone else’s story.”

“One of these days when I’m finished coaching at Alabama, I’ll write an authorized book because there’s only one expert on my life and guess who that is … me. And there won’t be any misinformation. There won’t be any false statements. There won’t be any hearsay. There won’t be any expert analysis from anybody else. It will be the real deal. And I’m not really ready for that to happen and it’s a little amazing to me that the timing of all this happening right when we’re starting camp. I just want everybody out there and all of our fans to know, it’s not going to be a distraction to us and it’s never going to get discussed again.”

“But since I’m not finished yet at Alabama, we’re not writing any books yet. But when we decide to write an authorized book, it will have the truth ? the whole truth and nothing but the truth.”
Yeah, I didn't think he'd be too happy about that book.

I've always thought these unauthorized deals were asking for bad news. It comes with the territory and all but the person writing is doing it for a buck and no other reason so unless it comes from whomever its about I just pass it off as possibly or maybe SOME of this might be true.

Has Nicky giver SECRant authority to write about him? Do I have the right to call Nick Saban an illiterate moron?

So Saban opposes freedom of speech. Not surprising, considering he's a democrat...

I didn't know libel was protected... interesting

If Saban wrote a biography and people outside of Birmingham said it was good I'd buy it. And I hate Nick Saban.

It's annoying that he complains as much as he does. He's a public figure, and unauthorized bios will happen if there's a market for it. He just needs to man up on this issue, and realize he will not get his way on all these things he bitches about.

I agree with Nick. I think the writer should donate a portion of the proceeds to the recruiting of their next stud running back
