According to Dan Patrick, the SEC could be gunning for Clemson, Florida State and Miami after the Big Ten adds USC, UCLA and possibly Notre Dame...

The Big 10 adding PAC 12 schools, from the weakest Conference in CFB, this doesn’t make it any stronger!?! No one even watches PAC 12 football….

Personally, the SEC should stand pat. Say not to Patrick's three amigos.

I listen to his show everyday and he knows nothing about college football lol.he has the worst sources on the planet for college football. Literally everything he predicts is dead wrong.

Continued dilution of the major conference is not good.

Miami is the 18th largest TV market in the U.S. All southern states that have a larger market are very near existing SEC schools.

As small as The U is in student body, their market is what counts.

Yeah well he doesn’t know shite. Until there is a “streaming” deal those teams dont add enough revenue

If they do add these schools does it mean LSU gets to play them in Tiger Stadium?

I hate Miami karma but it does bring in the South Florida market. Virginia, well I'm not a great athletic school, brings Is a large market an academic cache

The DC Market is 2+ hours away from Charlottesville, so I'm not sure there is anything else beyond academics and then alumni money that UVA brings.

Miami. No thanks!

Sec needs to add a big market. Virginia and Miami would be great adds. Fsu and Clemson are great programs but they don’t add much viewership

Riveting take. Ok so some of the usual suspects when expansion talk start up. Let me guess VA Tech/UVA, UNC/NC State, Louisville and GATech are all on the "potential" list too? Adding ou and utx were the most unexpected surprise adds to the SEC expansion carousel since it revved up the last few decades.

Do you think that we’ll ever see a time where things revert to where they were before the “arms” race of expansion and NIL? Everyone go back to their traditional conferences?

No. The college football we knew and loved is dead. Maybe what takes its place will be good…maybe not. We will see.
