Auburn Fan Yelled Racist Remark During Tennessee Game Got Ejected & Banned
Shanna Lockwood-USA TODAY Sports
A CBS mic picked up audio of an Auburn fan's racist comments on Saturday. Tennessee freshman guard Santiago Vescovi was the target of the fan’s discriminatory remarks, which were...
quote:

“Go back to Uruguay, this is America,” to Vescovi – an Uruguay native."
The fan was not only ejected for the comments, but has also been banned...

Nazis ran off to Uruguay. Vescovi could be the grandchild of a Nazi. Do we want Nazis playing basketball in the US? Apparently Auburn and Tennessee do. Shame on them for supporting Nazis.

It's not racist Larry it's being xenophobic. Unless he said something more than that.

thank goodness he did not say "go back to Tennessee, this is Auburn." might have started a war. Political Correctness at it's finest. "there are too many white people in here." aaahhhhh.

The only person referring to it as a “racist” comment is Larry Leo. The tweet and article only refer to it as xenophobic. Shocking.

So if he say "this is Alabama go back to Tennessee". Where on the racist spectrum does this fall?

That’s the worst argument I’ve seen in this thread so far. Surely you understand the implication that statement carries when dealing with different ethnic groups/countries and not states in America.

I should’ve figured the apologists would come out of the woodwork on this one. This is not a free speech or an issue with political correctness. It was an inappropriate and hurtful thing to shout at someone, and he was rightfully removed from the game. Some of you have become so caught up in trying to exercise free speech that you’ve forgotten you have to draw the line somewhere. Telling anyone to go back to their country because this is America is a hateful thing to say.

Auburn is run by liberals, as are most schools. No one should be surprised that a stadium pack full of fans is a safe zone for opposing players. The only missing thing about this story is a participation trophy with an apology letter from the school.

Man, can’t imagine what they’d do to me if they heard what I told Mamadou N'Diaye when I was in HS.
