. . . if Bennett was just a little bit better? If we scraped out a win v Florida with Stetson playing about average.

Would JT still be on the bench? Would we have a bunch of folks arguing that we can't sit him because he beat Florida?

Just sharing random thoughts.

Too painful to think about. If this works going forward it won’t matter what we did this year

I've been saying for a few weeks now that we'll roll through UF with Stet and then go with Daniels if he's healthy since he gives us the best shot to beat Bama. Don't have to worry about Bama any more now.

Could you imagine if JT was healthy...and not playing against 49 scholarship players in Mississippi State but against Bama or Florida?

Think the outcome would be different? We managed less than 10 yards rushing in a game?

Are you suggesting Kirby would have played a healthy Bennett over a healthy JT? Cause I did and was downvoted and accused of thinking 9/11 was an inside job

Seriously with our issues in every aspect of the game if we’d beat UF we’d get whipped in the SEC CG. We’ve got multiple issues. O line is not good. Running game is bad. Secondary is suspect even when healthy. For some reason we miss sacks way too often. Hell even the punting game blows up a couple of times every game. And our schemes are not good on both sides of the ball......we were out coached and out hearted tonight. A wins a win and always beats a loss but we’ve got some issues that aren’t related to ability and player talent. We act like everybody is waiting on someone to make a play, like it’s someone else job???

Because he was limping on the sidelines vs UF. Did you miss that?

My suggestion is a little different. With the QB play v Florida Coach Donald Trump would have put in a healthy Barak Obama.

There's no way JT was healthy. It's absurd on its face.

Sorry then. There was a video of him walking on the sideline limping.

Of course he did. Everybody knows CKS is tanking and trying to lose games at UGA. It makes perfect sense. Kirby gains so much losing games and trying to hold back QB's.

Mental toughness, drive, and will to win *are* player abilities/talents.

Those all are at least partially problems with talent and ability.

The player of the game IMO was Jermaine Burton. The kid is a freshman and is fighting every play to get open. KJ and Pickens getting attention open him up, but the kid is playing his arse off.

The reality is Kang was going to catch flack with whatever QB decision be made based on prior history. Is what it is.

The fact is, JT was “cleared,” after the Arkansas game. Not he’s game ready, not he has enough mobility, not we have enough confidence he could get back up from a DL riding him to the ground...He had enough mobility last night to move in the pocket but you can tell he’s still not “there” yet.

We could have put all our eggs in the JT basket and set him back with a tweak or worse if he was a sitting duck. Then we’re back in the same boat.

Or Kirbs just got it wrong. We’ll never know. ???????

If Bennett plays vs MSU, any doubt we lose by 2 TDs?

I think a healthy Bennett would get the win against Miss St.

But he isnt healthy. We absolutely needed JT.

Kirby's press conference tells us he thought the others were a better option. It apparently wasn't health.

To be fair, his health goes into what made them a better option. If he didn't have the mobility to avoid pressure and work the pocket, and more importantly to protect himself, then yes Stet and D'wan were the 'better' option. That didn't mean they were better players...but they 'could' do the things the offense needed but they actually have to go out and execute those things. And we all know they didn't over the course of those games.

It doesn't sound like the JT we saw this past Saturday was the JT they were seeing in practice. Sometimes a coach has to protect a player as a player is always going to say they're ready when they're cleared but cleared and ready to play are different things. His dads comments all but confirm this.

I think that's all true. It makes sense. It's also worth noting that if JT had played and reaggravated his injury Kirby would have looked like an a-hole.

That said, JT in a wheelchair is probably better than Stet and Mathis. Kirby plays it safe with QBs. He doesn't roll the dice. This only confirms what we already know.
