Coach Hayes on Youtube suggested training Juan Gaston at right tackle if he's not already.
If he eats right and does an arse ton of cardio, he could definitely drop 8-10 pounds between now and the Alabama game.

Not sure he’ll be at peak strength after doing a hardcore 2 week cut.

I'm no expert at losing weight because I never do it, but I'd say there'd be more of a relative strength loss going from 155 to 145 (you) than 365 to 355 (Juan Gaston).

I haven’t seen 155 since middle school….but I get your point.

Same here.
Also, I haven't seen my pecker when I take a leak since my 20s.

We look to have a very solid center in Drew Bobo. Maybe we should keep the old man around.

Drew Bobo and Micah Morris are the dynamic duo right now. They also sort of look alike.

Gaston was injured again Saturday. Doubtful he plays

It looks to my non-expert eyes that the five main guys we need to go with the rest of the way, at least as being the first 5 in the game, have established themselves...
Freeling - Solid and consistent with a mean streak.
Morris - Most talented Olineman and strongest player on the team
Bobo - Doesn't look like the most physically intimidating, but athletic and proving his worth
Glover - The coaches appear to love this kid. Young, but looks like he's rising above bigger and more highly ranked players; Gaston, Calhoun, Uni
Hughley - We forget he was highly ranked coming out of HS and he looked like the best player we had in the 4th quarter against the Vols.

I’d add to say that Gaston may well end up at RT before season is over

Was he injured again or was his ankile still just tender?

Coach Donnan gets to hang out and go to practice and Coach Donnan said yesterday that Gaston trains at tackle too.

Well damn, dude got the ball out so quick there wasn’t time

I disagree, there were plenty of plays where our dline and LBs blitzing got stonewalled by there OL. We weren’t getting home. It could’ve been by design, our dline was maintaining gap control, putting the onus on our DBs to make a play and that didn’t happen. I’m pretty sure on one of the long passes that went for a TD our ILB blitzed but just ran straight into the back of our DL.

A large sample of plays we were not stunting or doing anything significant beyond holding gap and forcing the pocket back. It put a lot on our DBs.

Coach Donnan doesn't get concerned about much these days, but he was pretty concerned about how lost and clueless our DBs looked in zone.
The good news is that Kirby Smart might be the best secondary coach on the planet and if there is one position group that fricked up in a game and needs to get fixed, the secondary is the one that's most likely to get fixed.

I think both offenses schemed the shite out of each other secondaries. Plus Joey made some big-time throws

Aguilar made some good throws, but if you go back and watch his overall accuracy was mediocre. Brazzell made nice plays on a couple of jump balls and we left a lot of receivers running wide open. Aguilar made multiple throws of the type that some Georgia fans (and some trolls) shredded Beck for last year; high, not in stride, but they were caught and yards after catch looked a lot higher than I'm used to seeing for a Georgia defense because the defenders weren't in close coverage or didn't make a tackle.
Bottom line is if you give receivers big cushions and the qb time to throw, nearly every qb will have a big day. I know Kirby's focused on that like a laser right now because we can definitely play better pass defense. This will be a common issue in the first half of seasons going forward because of leakage to the transfer portal.
One side note, for several years Georgia's defense was the best or one of the best in the nation at tackling. Now we've moved back toward the pack and the tackling is inconsistent. I assume it was because we used to do it a lot more in practice, but nobody does that now.
