LSU beats UGA
TCU, OSU, USC win out.

Under that scenario, I think UGA is out.

OSU
TCU
USC
All in obv.

Last spot would be between:

LSU
UGA
Clemson (if they win conference)
Michigan

LSU should get the spot in this scenario having just beat UGA.

Hope the boys show up for Tech and want that title. Crazy to think we are 3-6 in SECCG.

Ya we need to win the SEC. I believe we will. LSU is a descent team but not great. If we cant win the SEC this year, it will be a disappointment

There is some chance in that scenario they leave SEC out all together and put in 1 loss Clemson over 2 loss LSU.

Yeah, assuming LSU wins, I don't see how you can put LSU in after having been destroyed by Tennessee at home and then having lost to a second tier ACC team. But who knows.

I think if we beat Tech we are in the playoffs. Has the playoff committee decided this year that conference championships are weighted more heavily than the regular season? I don't think that is the case. I don't think there is any scenario that you keep out a team that was undefeated in the toughest conference. Still if there the PAC12 & SEC both have 2 loss champions does the committee for fairness sake take both 2 loss champions?

I agree and we didn't help ourselves with the lackluster performance vs Kentucky.
We just beat LSU, it's simple as that.

We are still in control. The type of loss would matter if LSU beat us.

No..the way we played KY didn’t help. Hate to say it but we need to show out vs GT.

A 1 loss USC having just beat ranked UCLA, ND, and Oregon would be in.

Undefeated TCU would be in.

LSU would have just beat us. This isn’t the AL/UGA scenario from last year.

LSU would have Conf championship and head to head.

It would really be between them and possibly Clemson.

Our UT and Oregon wins would have lost some luster.

That estimator is ignoring the politics and who sits on the committee.

I hope we don’t have to worry about it .

The only way is to win our next two games.

Frankly, think we are better knowing we won’t make the playoffs if we lose.

All that said. I think USC loses to ND and possibly Oregon. Their defense is awful.

Also think Texas beats TCU.

It would be nice to not have to worry about that. Just win.

I think the coaching staff and team feel the SEC Championship is the one piece of unfinished business from last year that needs to be taken care of.

This team seems to be able to take it to another level when they’re in a big game. I’m comfortable we’ll be ready for LSU.

I think we’re in no matter what.

You cant give all these other teams a break for their losses and then punish the season long #1 team more for a loss. I mean , they have 2 loss LSU at #6 right now. And they could be at #5 or even #4 by the time we get to ATL

If K State beats Kansas they’re in the Big 12 title game.

Yes..forgot about them. So K State or Texas.

USC - ND and Oregon
TCU - Iowa State and K State/Texas
OSU - Michigan and Iowa/Purdue
Michigan same
LSU - A&M and Georgia
Clemson - USCe and NC

These are the playoffs.

We can’t assume with confidence they would not put a 2 loss LSU team in over is if they beat us in championship.

I can say with strong confidence..TCU and USC are in if they win out.

Especially if just winning in en route to a 15-0 CFP championship and not only taking that distinction from the 2019 LSU team but having beaten them in the process.

Think of it this way….

If Georgia were to lose to LSU, there would only be potential for two undefeated teams left. So, lets assume those two teams, OH state and TCU are in.

So only two spots left now.

And only four 1 loss teams eligible to fill those two spots…..

1) Georgia: Viewed as best team in nation by committee nearly all season. Played in confrence championship. Loss is to #5 LSU.
2) Michigan: Did not play in conference championship. Best ranking by committee was #3. Lost to #2 OH State in regular season.
3) USC: Lost to shite arse Utah in reg season. Best ranking by committee is #7. Conference champions of shite as pac 12
4) Clemson: Lost to shite arse Notre Dame in reg season. Committee barely has them in top 10. Champs of shite arse acc.

Theres no way any of these three teams would get a playoff spot over Georgia.

The argument would be about who gets the fourth spot. Michigan, USC, Clemson, or LSU

I just don't see a 2-loss SEC Champion LSU making the final four.

If we beat Tech we go into the SECCG as #1 in all the rankings. I just can't seem them bumping a #1 team to 5 if for some reason we falter in the SECCG. It could interesting. The loser of Mich-OSU will make a claim. Then you have the ACC if Clemson runs the table. If TCU, Oh St, USC, and Clemson run the table then the committee is going to choice. And if that scenario plays out and we lose the SECCG I suppose it's possible they could leave out the SEC.

We’re not guaranteed it, but there are still plenty of scenarios in which a loss in the SECCG would still have us in.

If either TCU or USC lose, a spot becomes wide open and I think we’d beat out Clemson or the OSU/Michigan loser for it. TCU has to play a rematch with a good KSU team and USC has to play Notre Dame and then Oregon. Very possible for one or more losses to occur there.

Again, the simplest route is by winning, so let’s focus on that.
