UGA/uSc thoughts…

I imagine JT is back? I also think Washington is projected to be back as well. If JT is fully healthy, hopefully he stretches the field. I don’t mind smart football/check downs but he didn’t even seem to try against Clempson (maybe hurt though). I’d like to see him go for 3-400 with 3-4 TD’s. The D will be them… This should be a 42-7 or 42-10 type game right? If the offense plays like hammered dog shite… worst case 31-7? Thoughts?

If USC scores a TD on offense I will be pissed.

It’s bound to happen sooner or later. SC also has 3 great RB’s. I wouldn’t be stunned if they ran the ball decently. It’s when they’re in 3 & long when they’re fricked.

2019 is surely fresh on Kirby’s mind, Muschamp certainly has had this one circled, it’s a night game, it’s at home, our defense is elite, JT should be back and motivated after watching the UAB beat down from the sideline, and Washington is hopefully back. Plus USCe is not a good football team.

I just saw the spread...UGA -31. Seems a tad high to me.

Clemson basically didnt give us room to throw. They dropped 7 and 8.
They rotated their coverages (cover 3, quarters, tampa 2) which didnt give us an edge in playcalling to know the soft spots.
And we absolutely didnt want JT holding the ball and waiting for someone to find a soft spot in the zone.
We should have been able to run the ball better the first 3.5 quarters. But we had a ton of missed assignments on the line and Bresee was a 1 man wrecking ball. Credit their DBs for not missing tackles on the perimeter.

I think we should kick their arse

With addition of freshman JuJu McDowell, it's 4. He's seriously been the best back on the team so far this year.

We typically play down to their level or below it when they are good.

Yea, we will let up a TD sooner or later, prolly this game..but

They rushed for 100 yards against East Carolina...I would be absolutely stunned if they ran it "decently" on us

USC’s OL is horrid and they lack playmakers outside. I think the front 7 is aggressive on filling the run and relies on the DBs to hold their own.
Conversely, they have a talented (but relatively thin) DL to go along with an extremely thin secondary that frankly lacks top end talent. We should test them early and often, imo, and then deliver body blows in the second half to wear them down. Bowers and (if he’s back) Washington should be able to feast on that defense. I don’t know if anyone they have on D can keep up with Arian Smith, so we could see some more fireworks there, too.

Other than Burch and Harris, do they have any other notable names worth knowing?

Enagbare, Sandidge, and Pickens.
Sandidge and Pickens are both very talented but might not have lived up to their billing yet, but they’re dangerous if you don’t pay them attention.
Enagbare will be an early round pick.

Thank you, I knew there were some along the front 7 we had recruited but couldn’t remember names (Sandidge and Pickens)

I hope this is the full revenge game we need after 2019. Last year's asskicking didn't feel good enough, plus we're finally back at the scene of the crime.

Kearis Jackson looked good running back punts. Will he be ready in the passing game this week?

I believe that is the plan. He needs to show out in practice.
It's funny...we are a bigger favorite than we were against UAB, but this game seems sooooo much more important lol

Keep an eye on Cam Smith at cb another guy y'all recruited hard, also Jordan Strachan LB grad xfer who led the nation in sacks last year at GA ST but noone outside of Harris on offense should worry you....also Juju McDowell is a shifty return man that reminds me of ace sanders
