Ya unfortunately I see Monken heading to the NFL. Won 2 natties at UGA. Not much left to accomplish from a job stand point.

Hope I am wrong.

Go to the NFL. That’s fine. But Brady isn’t staying in TB and even if he does they have obvious flaws. It just seems like TB OC is the least attractive offer I could imagine.

3 natties in a row?
$3M salary?

I mean. If you are into accomplishing things not witnessed by anyone alive and into being paid a shitload of money and all...

Any updates. I do know the NFL tends to move/close quickly. I haven’t seen anything this afternoon.

Well… Tom Brady just retired AGAIN… This has to be good news in possibly retaining Monken…

Plot Twist: Monken takes TB gig and talks them into drafting Bennett.

Monken was back in Athens last night with Kirby at the Foundry for a spring football preview. He hasn't checked out yet.

I don't think he goes anywhere. Not for the '23 season, at any rate.

Todd is a fool for taking any oc coordinator job, needs to hold out for the big pay day for returning as a hc.

$2mill is way smaller than $7m that seems to be the average for tier 1 programs.... Whether you want to be a hc or not you get 4 years minimum and $28m is way more that $8m.....

NFL coordinator job is how you get a nfl head coaching job.

He just needs to be patient and land the right coordinator job.
QB position settled.
Defensive head coach.

No job opening is perfect.
There are reasons why the prior OC got fired.

But monken is setup nicely to be patient.

Dawg insider, and Mike Rafalolo or something like that. Weird last name. Both posted around the same time.

Looks like he interviewed with the Ravens too. If the right situation comes up in the NFL; he will probably go. I'm sure winning a Super Bowl along with an NC would be a huge feather in his cap. That may be a goal of his before he retires.

Yeah, this second interview with the Ravens sounds much more serious than the overtures from a lame duck Tampa Bay situation.

Not exactly a perfect situation in Baltimore either. They have a 26 year old former MVP QB, but he's about to be the most expensive QB in league history and I believe his best football is already behind him.

I do think he ends up in the NFL again, but I also think it'll take a better situation than what Tampa Bay or Baltimore have right now. He's in a good enough situation now where he can afford to be really picky about what job he takes.

I hope the Texans don't call him. They have a mountain of cap space and a warchest of draft picks (including #2 this year) thanks to the Deshaun Watson trade. They suck now but could get good very quickly if they get the picks right.
