UGA 30 Clempson 27. Jack comes through again with a 40-50 yard game winner. Adam Anderson blindside sacks DJ causing a game ending fumble.

Out of curiosity. I know this basically translates to more of a home game for Clemson than us but does anyone know what the attendance split may look like?

Notre dame was an away game too after all

No one will know until gametime. But im hearing 55/45 in favor of Georgia.

My personal guess may he closer to 60/40 UGA.

Saved some thoughts until game week. So I really don't respect their skill guys sans Ross. He's the game breaker and I expect the defensive coaches to have a plan to minimize his damage.

Clemson gets their top receiver back while UGA loses theirs. That's a huge factor. UGA needs to have a balanced attack to keep the offense on the field to win.

Well, you better start.Ladson,EJ William and Ngata are all top 100 guys that will all play on Sundays and they also signed the best WR group in the '21 class.

It's the best group we'll play all season until the SECCG.

I think his point is that like our guys, they may have been good recruits, but outside of Ross they have little proven production

If it was just incoming Freshman it wouldn't be a concern but all the guys I listed have experience to go along with their talent. If you wanna say "unproven" I somewhat get that but to not "respect" the guys mentioned is way off.

I suspect you are correct. A favorable crowd would be beneficial.

We may be a little overrated at this early point. The fact that we have to start Salyer at left tackle - a guy who's truly a guard - when two 6'7" prototype tackles (Truss and Mims) are just not quite ready - is a let down.

In the secondary, Tykee Smith missing the game is a drop-off from what we would have liked to see in the opener. Brini will not beat up Clemson's receivers like he did the undersized Cincinnati players. Meanwhile, whether it's perpetual depth CB Speed or the undersized Kimber, the best (future) CB on that side (Ringo) needs more experience.

If both Washington and Fitzpatrick are both no-go with the unfortunately timed foot injury bug that's been going around, better hope that Bowers can do it all. Goode and Seither are barely mentioned, which is interesting given that Bowers just showed up and is getting all the hype.

If Clemson was our game 5, I would be very confident. For an opener, we've got some holes and some areas that still need to gel.

Just an off the wall thought - for example, someone like Knedrick who was dismissed from a team and picked up by another like here. If he really liked his old team and still had a great relationship with his former teammates, would he play his hardest against them? Or would he somehow be a step behind...on purpose?

That may make sense in Disneyland, but I’d imagine DK is much more worried about improving his draft stock than helping the school that dismissed him.

I don't know where you guys are getting all of these points for Clemson.
Newish QB (never played in this atmosphere), WRs are unproven, and their star WR is coming off back surgery and covid-19. They lost their all-world HB, and the O-line is suspect. Add to that our D line and Linebackers are experienced, highly rated, and deep. Sure our secondary is not ideal, but we didn't recruit 2-star players. The secondary will do enough.
Clemson might get 21 and will provide 1 or 2 turnovers.

Our offense..... I have no idea what we will see.

UGA wins
These "scars" people discuss are the fan's hangup. The kids/players don't care about your scars. They want to play and win.

I think Clemson will be more than fine at qb. Their big loss (and questionmark) is at runningback.
So much of their offense ran through ettiene.

As someone who transferred from one team to another in high school, and had an excellent relationships with coaches and players from my former team? (We played my former team my senior year) I played harder and wanted that game more. I actually went back the summer before my senior year and talked to some of the guys from the former team, but I told my current coach who I thought were solid character guys, and guys we might could exploit.
Before and after the game I talked to my former teammates, but once the game started it was all business. After I caught one pass one of my former teammates hit me pretty good to put me down, but we got up, grinned at each other and went back at it.

You don't think his first start against ND was this kind of atmosphere?
Of all your points, the one that resonates with me is the one about their OLine. I think we can exploit them.

I do tend to think it will be higher scoring than several people on here, but that is just me. I tend to be more of a pessimist when it comes to big games. I always have been. I always thought my teams could win but was never certain.

No, it was a covid game. The stands were 25%.
