I think it was on Golic and Wingo the angle they will take is that Fields is a two sport athlete and may want to play baseball. Because the kid making the comment was a baseball player and kicked off the team Fields would not be able to play baseball at UGA or would not feel welcomed. Now we all know he has no intention of playing baseball but a different angle to take.

"but a different angle to take"

It's a step beyond. There may be an allegation that he in fact wanted to play baseball at UGA...but did not do so due to racial intimidation. It is difficult to disprove something that one can claim was one's belief, as he did not, in fact, play baseball (despite being a highly touted shortstop).
In my opinion, it's all b.s. and the Sasser incident was an incredibly fortuitous opportunity for Fields. (So much so that a conspiracy theorist might wonder).
The big question is: Should UGA "cave" and support his immediate eligibility to avoid further negative PR? Or fight on principle because it's baloney?
The NCAA is definitely on a slippery slope now. This could open the floodgates to players transferring much more frequently and with immediate eligibility, it would become yet another recruiting method.

Yeah, it's a virtual certainty that a black player on a majority black team was singled out for virulent racist attacks. Why, the attorney himself proved beyond the shadow of a doubt, and with geometric logic!
Thank you. All you have to do is pull that race card and you can have anything on the menu.

Honestly, I don't care if he gets the waiver or not. Not my mess... no longer my problem.
But the baseball angle doesn't fly for football. Fine. Let him play baseball right away. The allegations didn't affect his emotions towards his football team.
It is obvious what the fields camp/attorney is doing. The question is if the ncaa cares to have balls or not. No balls means free agency for all of college football (better call saul before the athlete requests the waiver).

UGA should take no position on whether or not Fields is eligible.

This is the canary in the coal mine...
If UGA puts up zero protest, Fields will get his waiver. If UGA does protest, as they should if there’s nothing to fear being looked into, then he will sit.

My people are saying the ambulance chaser isn’t just playing the race card. He’s also making wild claims about unkept promises made during recruitment..
Does this explain Kirby behaving like a hostage through Sugar Bowl flop even after getting torpedoed right before signing day?

Think it’s funny the Martell family crest...which I wouldn’t be surprised to find out his dad has hung prominently in the family home next to the oil painting of himself in a heroic pose during a medieval battle scene.
Someone posted it earlier...
Unbroken, unbent, unconquered is the motto I seem to remember.
Very difficult to prove breaking, bending or conquering someone if they run away before the fighting starts.

Yeah, "no comment" is always a great response when accused of institutional racism. It really makes you look innocent.

A quitter transferring and running away....from another quitter who just transferred and ran away.

There will be no argument of institutional racism against the school. There probably will be an argument against one or two individual scholarship athletes with at least one of them being a football player.
There could be an argument that Fields was promised, and denied, a fair chance to compete. That argument has legs.

If I were Martell I would try to figure out exactly what Fields is using in his waiver request and apply it to his waiver request to not having to sit out a year. See how the NCAA handles it. Make something up. Test them.

Another point is if Martell is transferring after two years in that meeting room going over the offensive system at OSU out of fear of Justin Fields maybe the coaches there made some promises to Fields about the starting job next year.
In the end though whatever.
