There will be no argument of institutional racism against the school. There probably will be an argument against one or two individual scholarship athletes with at least one of them being a football player.
Yeah, that's not how lawyers do things. "Two people didn't like him" isn't any sort of an argument. "The school was biased against him" is an argument, and one that UGA would pretty much have to refute.

There could be an argument that Fields was promised, and denied, a fair chance to compete.
There "could" also be an argument that he identifies as a disabled Japanese lesbian and was subject to discrimination on all three grounds. There "could" be virtually anything.

That argument has legs.
Given the playing time he got as a true freshman, behind an uninjured veteran, no, it doesn't - at least not on its face. The only thing they could really do to advance that argument would be to bring in other players and coaches from the team to say that: (1) there was such a deal in place; and (2) UGA didn't honor it. Good luck with that.

Do you watch him practice? What if....bear with me....he's not catching on as quickly as the coaches wanted. I trust the coaches way more than riverdog and SJWDog

Field had no meaningful series before umass. That means 3 or more consecutive downs played.
What is Series?
A succession of defensive or offensive plays in football, including any incurred penalties, beginning and ending with a change in possession.
Sauce
The final series (two plays) against Tennessee (two games before LSU) prior to the mercy knee had Fields running the show. One hand off to Holyfield and then a 15 yard run by Fields into the end zone.
And while it wasn't a full series, Fields played 4 snaps in a series earlier in that game (4th quarter) where he faked a hand off with no one there and subsequently fumbled the ball. He also got to throw a few times in that game.
Fields had plenty of opportunities to throw the ball and run with it. He had several TDs (both running and throwing) and got to see 1st string SEC defenses to boot.

Tom Mars to ESPN's Dan Murphy, "Nobody who's on social media would have a problem with Justin getting a waiver if they knew the whole story."
From that comment I would assume that Mars is going to try to claim that Justin was hurt by social media posts. That might be a good argument if Fields was a teenage girl.

So is Mars going to ask the court to conduct a hearing on Twitter?

Mars is going to the NCAA to complain that Justin's feelings were hurt by JeffersonDawg's GSB comments.

Lol if a few idiots on Twitter is basis for a hostile environment then collegiate athletics should ready up for a free agency frenzy every single offseason.

Not sure how this holds. Your identity is linked to your social media accounts therefore the accused can be held accountable. If the account is fake it would be really difficult to prove the account is associated with UGA in anyway. Mars was already grasping at straws but this just takes it to another level if true...
