I wouldn't go that far.

Salyer looks like he'll start at RT but was a top 10 national prospect as a guard. Hill could play guard or center, and obviously clay webb was a top 10 national prospect as a center (how often have you seen that?) Mays will anchor a tackle spot, and Cleveland is a perfectly fine guard.

Obviously webb hasn't played but there's 4 guys right there that are plenty experienced.

I dont think anyone with thrilled with our line play against Baylor. I know Cleveland was out but it wasnt anything special. I think we'll be fine but we are losing a lot of snaps with those 3 guys leaving. That was the only point I was making

I liked him but I didn’t feel he was as good as last year. Maybe got too big or something idk.

As I see it now from LT to RT we will likely have Mays, Shaffer, Hill, Cleveland, and Salyer

As long as Webb isn’t caught up in this damn civil case which I personally think looks like a crock of shite.

Truss or Mclendon should push for time too, no? I almost think big Cade is a better fit for OG if we can fill the OT spot elsewhere.

Yeah I like cade at guard but having 2 first time tackles is also worrisome. At least we have no shortage of talent.

We recruited fairly light on the interior OL in 2019 and 2020.
Only Webb in 2019 and Van Pran in 2020 (assuming we hold him).

We lose Cleveland in 2020. That leaves us with Shaffer, Salyer (assuming he doesnt go pro early or play tackle), Hill (assuming he doesnt go pro early), Ericson, Webb, and Van Pran. We might have a 2 deep with no more attrition in 2021.

Knowing that we played 3rd string at LG, C, and RG in 2019, I'm definitely keeping an eye here.

Interior OL will be a huge priority for Luke in 2021s class.

I think we'll miss his expirence but he had a pretty inconsistent season and wasn't good at all in some games... got abused by that A&M DT

Maybe this news helps out with Jones and SVP.

I thought it was pretty good, all things considered. Ran the ball decently and dealt with their All-American DE ok.

This is a mistake for Kindley, imo. He needs to drop some serious weight.

Jones could potentially start in 2020 at RT. I think the 2s looked great against Baylor, and quite honestly, Thomas, Kindley, and Wilson were all disappointing in run-blocking this year. We stacked, everyone fricked.

Where is he projected to go? This is disappointing news. We could've used his experience next year. I was hoping Luke would whip him in to shape.

Very surprised he's leaving, but he's getting a 2-3 round grade. Which is even more surprising.

Remember that Pittman turned him from outcast to NFL talent. They were very close. Not surprising, and I think we can find a more athletic guard to aptly take his place. Great young man as is Thomas and Wilson, go get that paper boy.

That's surprising to me, if true.

Kindley has played hurt the last 2 years. Honestly not a bad thing for him to heal up and cash in while he can and it won’t hurt us either to get some fresh blood on the line at that spot

Not a good year for OL in the draft per PFF so that may be the reason.

He was disappointing this year IMO but still a DGD.Wasnt he the first signee for Pittman?

I'm never shocked when a 4 year player leaves. There are benefits to him coming back. But seriously: what high schooler ever says, "this is where I'm going to spend my next 5 years".
