Currently making it's way through Mississippi and will probably be here overnight. These overnight storms are the worse especially ones that can produce strong tornados like these storms

Stay safe everyone

I believe they already had a tornado in Louisiana and Mississippi from this storm. Sucks that it slowed down, was supposed to be bad weather from like 3-7, now looking like through the night hours which makes things worse.
God Bless, stay safe and hope you all had a Happy Easter

Our atmosphere isn't as unstable and ripe for tornadoes tonight as it currently is over LA, MS, and to a lesser extent AL.

We will get regular thunderstorms. Yes regular thunderstorms can blow down trees , power lines, etc, and are dangerous.

But there's no reason for people to sleep in their basement here tonight, unlike a dipshit meteorologist in Athens is telling people.

Growing up it seemed like the tornadoes always went through Peachtree City.

What’s you level of confidence on this?

I don't think it'll be as strong as it is right now but what DP is saying is ridiculous as it is dangerous. There's a reason the NWS is freaking out about these overnight storms.

Mississippi is getting hammered had two F4 or F5s on the ground for over an hour.

Yeah Spalding and Griffin and Coweta and Bartow are burned into my memory in that NWS computerized voice that would announce tornado warnings with that red ticker across the bottom of the screen

High.

Most of Georgia will be getting thunderstorms. Stong.

The current TW in NW Georgia right now "stable air on the ground" according to Cantore on TWC right now, isn't actually a tornado, just a rotating storm, but does have strong winds (like many thunderstorms).

Our conditions aren't right for widespread outbreak of tornados tonight. I'm sorry the good news pisses so many people off.

All of the warnings come out of the national weather service in Peachtree City, so anywhere in the state that had any kind of warning had Peachtree City in the communication.

So, quite literally, all tornado warnings really actually did went through Peachtree City.

Southern GA is now at an elevated threat with the latest models of 5000' winds aloft creating wind shear above 60 mph after midnight.

No official watches or warnings updated, yet.

It's not good news pissing people off it's potentially wrong news getting people killed. FWIW I do hope you're right, but right now this thing has done major damage on both Mississippi and Alabama

Yes I've been following this for 3 days. The atmospheric conditions are different 600 miles away. You know this.

Last news I heard was it’s passing through Cedar Bluff Alabama on its way below LaFayette Ga with tornado warnings.

That one already dissipated. But still a very strong storm with high winds.

Temperature here in Statham now registering 69 degrees up from 60 about 4 hours ago. Warm front has passed over us and we are now in the warm unstable sector of the storm.

I know that and I'm not saying we'll have multiple F4s but we do have a chance for a couple of strong tornados
