Have they said how big that one was because that has to be at least a strong F3 or F4

WSB is reporting it may not have even been the tornado in Upson, but super strong straight line winds that moved it.

WSB says NWS confirmed EF1 in Bartow with winds up to 90.

Per WSB (link below) this is a map of what the NWS confirmed were tornado touchdowns. I added the Upson and the Macon area ones, even though NWS hasn't confirmed it, we know those two were real.

Upstate SC got hit by a F3-F4 Half Mile Wide Tornado. The hidden news amongst the Flu/Cold Virus: Complete devastation. Largest Tornado since the 40’s that hit Abbeville. Untold truths and horrors in real life. At least 9 dead in one night... not to mention people are missing.

It's horrific and devastating. In SC, TN, GA, AL, MS, but nobody gives a frick. It's sick. It is mentally sick.

With power out and telephone lines down, and cell towers fricked, let's hope for the best for your dad, hopefully he's sitting on his porch enjoying a few minutes of quiet.

Hope so. I’ve been in Clemson all day. Trying to establish contact with people around him. I did speak to a guy off HWy 11... old friend of the family... said power was out... most were still just gathering themselves. Said the storm formed about 1 mile out... but even the back of it had sustained winds 60+ for about an hour... real shite

NWS confirming 12 tornados in GA now from Sunday night.

I said NW GA and Macon south.

I was called an idiot.

Let's look at the data.

Not bad, as far as weather forecasting goes. That one in ATL was rated an EF-0 by the NWS, for what it's worth. Shouldn't even count, it's like counting a 98 year old cancer patient as a Covid death.

More- both EF3's were on or South of that Macon line. The next strongest was the EF2 up in Murray, above the NW line.

The rest were EF0's and EF1's, for what it's worth.

If it's like every other Spring, we'll have weekly cold fronts with lines of thunderstorms leading them, often severe, from now until mid-June.

I finally got my garden tilled last Friday before the weekend storms. Plan to plant this afternoon and tomorrow and throw some wheat straw on top to protect from the Sunday weather. Hope to have a couple of acres of corn and beans by late June/ early July.
