Did you ever think you'd live to see the day when Rushing Offense would be seen as the weak link in the WHOLE TEAM? Much less over a former walk-on as starting QB?

I'm very optimistic about McIntosh and flat-out excited about Milton, but while Cook was improving until his injury, White has been a disappointment.

#6 and #22 appear to be the future at that position. #3 (we all are pulling so hard for this young man) just does not run as well. It's not all his fault, but still...

Cook shouldn’t even be third string RB

I am most excited about McIntosh from what I have seen so far. And I think all of you banging on Zeus will be changing your tune before the year is up. The kid is talented and still finding his rhythm.

He's not getting the job done, that's for sure.

There were a few plays where he ran right into a obviously blocked hole....I think Zeus' biggest problem is his vision. He doesn't veer from the course much, if at all.

We’re all pulling for Zeus, but Milton and KMac just seem to be better backs. I hate to admit it.

If the play says run off-tackle right, White is running off-tackle right, bodies be damned, play be damned.

This is problematic enough, but when we're used to Swift/Chubb/Michel bouncing to the outside and making lemonade out of what might have originally been a busted play, it compounds the problem.

Holyfield had a lot of success bouncing outside.

For whatever reason, we didnt bounce runs very much in 2019 (including Swift).

Isn't that 193 number after the 30 yard loss on the snap from center?? That, of course, was not a rushing play in the purest sense of the phrase. If 223 yards are divided over 50 carries it becomes 4.5 yards/carry. It looks a little better anyway.

Zeus's vision has not been great, but neither has the OL.

I had EH in the original post with 7/27/1, but wasn't certain on his ability to change up a play dependent on what developed. Not off the top of my head, at any rate.

Looks like I was on the right trail.

It's not like 4 YPC and 170 RYPG is horrid, but it's actually much better than that:

-We have 115 lost yards vs. opponents 105. That shows how significant some of the snap issues were.

-Remove those and our "weakness" is 210 YPG and 4.6 YPC average. And at some point those 8-9-10 yard runs will turn into a 65 yard TD.....I hope!

All that said, Bama match up is a tough one. If we can run we can win. Problem is Nick knows this as well.

I'd rather see White get most of his carrie's in the 2nd half. Love his heart, he's strong but a half a step slow after 2 knee surgeries. Need more of Kenny and Kendell in the 1st half and use Zeus more in 2nd half to finish the drill after the D starts to wear down...
