After thinking it over I have had a change of heart. I originally had Bama winning by 2 TDs in the 4th.

However,

With the exception of LSU we have dominated every game we played. This team is more versatile than last year's team with a defense that is rounding into form. This game will be much closer than people think and this time I have more faith in our pass game when the run game gets stuffed.

Have faith in the Dawgs, we win on a 4th quarter Hot Rod field goal.

Nauta.. Enough said.

Charlie Woerner was huge last year in the SECCG and against Oklahoma. He was miss in the championship game.

But their defense is no where near as dominant as it has been in the past. If you dont think we can move the ball and score on them, I dont know what to tell you.

They are 3rd in the Nation in scoring defense with a dominant front 7 and great CBs. You’re selling them short of how good they truly are.

My biggest concern is our DL getting dominated by their OL. If we can stop the run, and at least pressure Tua every now and then, we will have a chance. We really miss David Marshall.

I think it really comes down to coaching. We have the talent to win this game.

I want to see Mel come at them with heavy, consistent pressure, stunts, confusing looks, and bump coverage. Jeudy is deadly after catching the ball so I don't want to see him catching the ball in zone coverage...play him man-to-man with Deandre. We don't even necessarily need sacks, but we definitely need QB knockdowns. If we can put Tua on his arse greater than 5-6 times in the first half, there's a decent chance he gets hurt or nervous.

Chaney called a great 1st half in last year's NCG and then went conservative and scared in the 2H, costing us the game imo. His #1 goal has to be to stay out of 3rd and long. I don't care how he does it but if we consistently allow that Bama D to pin back their ears on 3rd and longs, it's going to be a long afternoon.

45-42 Dawgs.

35-31 Bama

But I will get 1 point more confident each day as Saturday approaches... so 36-35 Dawgs

He pulls that BS again on Saturday and fans are going to call for his head on a platter. I'll be one of them.

The reality is that Alabama should win the game. I wouldn't be surprised if they run away with it at the end. They are elite in every position group on the field. But we are not too far behind. At worst, our young team gets beat by multiple scores by what most will claim is the best team Alabama has ever fielded, and one of the best in the history of the game, but I don't anticipate it.

There is a reason we play the game. Yes, Alabama has looked superb all year. Yes, they have the advantage across each matchup. Yes, I do think it will take our perfect performance to beat them, with a few breaks as well. But A LOT crazier things have happened in this game than what this upset would be. Kirby will have them not just ready to play, but ready to play Alabama and beat them. The game plan will be there. The motivation will be there. The OT loss in the title game last winter is still sour. Revenge is proven to be a highly effective motivator when managed correctly. Not to mention the fact that an SEC Championship and playoff spot are on the line. If we are there in the 4th Quarter, look out. I like our O-Line, and I like Fromm in a second go-round.

I can't quite place it, and not that it holds any weight (obviously), but I have a great feeling about this game. Conversely, I can honestly say I had the same type of feeling for the LSU game going in, but in the opposite direction, and it proved true. I think we shock the world.

I agree, Porter. Close at half and Alabama pulls away 49-24.

Their FG unit is awful. If our defense can keep them out of the endzone on a couple of drives, we have an advantage.

Their FG unit is so bad, we have to be cautious of giving up too many yards on 3rd down. At midfield or better, good chance they would be willing to take a page out of Orgeron's book and go for it on 4th and 2 or less with frequency.

For all those negadawgs that think Bama will win, we can always place an internal sig bet.

If Tua is not pressured, we'll lose. Period. If pressured, Tua (like all QBs) will rush his passes and make mistakes. Exactly how to pressure Tua? I'll leave that to our experts.

Negadawgs so weak emotionally they are hedging their hopes with intellectual negativity like this is all some kind of stock market play. Jacob Marley will be paying them all a visit soon.

Most of these negadawgs are pansies. God forbid they lose a sig bet to a girl.

You said realistic. Well, realistic is that the line is increasing as the week goes on. Vegas is seeing a difference of a couple of TD's.

It could be worse.

We can generate some offense. There's just little to indicate we can stop them. We already had a marginal situation at ILB and with Monte Rice out, well...better hope true freshmen suddenly emerge as superstars.

I could see something like Alabama 42, Georgia 31.
