Questions for the Stetson haters

1. If Stetson is a bum and you’re all about the “5 star” QBs then what’s the problem? Those 5 stars should easily beat out that bum Stetson for the job if they are any good.
2. If you are worried Kirby will just give him the job, then you are saying you don’t trust the guy that built a national championship winning program. Is that right?
Help me understand your idiotic thinking.

They can't. Especially the fools still hanging on.
I've said many times. I wish we had a Heisman candidate at QB. It covers up a lot of mistakes. But for whatever reason, Kirby leans towards hard workers who do what their told and the team rallies around that.
We will never be in the QB room. We will never have the full inside scoop.
I trust Kirby. Until he gives me a reason not to.
It was easy to see why you would start Fromm. Coukd you disagree with it? Of course, but you could logically follow the reasoning.. And it's very easy to do the same with Bennett.
Especially now

We've dealt with the negative fans for quite a long time. Now that we've won a championship. Get ready for the entitlement.
If there was ever a player that has deserved the adoration and respect of the UGA fanbase, it's Stetson Bennett.

They just need to go swap their shirts out for Bama ones. Maybe that will satisfy their need for shiny QB play.

So 5 of them run in here to downvote me but can’t answer the questions to defend their arguments

I think you're getting downvoted not because you are making invalid points, but because the vast majority of people who utilize this site are sick of the assholes who have seemingly taken over this board. Before anyone says "You don't have to read those threads" it's almost every new thread on the board or non-associated threads become infected with these little bitches barking at each other. Probably why I find myself (along with many others, I'm sure) going elsewhere for talkin' dawgs.
I'm sure the admins are excited at the prospect of losing page views.

This.
Kirby has forgotten more about football than the anti-stetson crowd has ever known.
He also cares for Georgia and our continued success far more than any of us, so I highly doubt he's going to make a decision regarding the most important position on the field that will hurt Georgia in the short or long run. The Anti-Stetson crowd would be a great study into the ole Actor-Observer Bias

I'm not so much a Stenson hater as I just think JT should have been given more opportunity to play later in the season. If the rumors are true about the team doctor vs his personal doctor, why wouldn't Kirby or someone else just come out and say it?
I think a healthy JT would have given us a championship. I also think without that 60+ yard run late in the third or early fourth quarter, we don't win that game. That play was a huge boost for the team and for Stenson's confidence.
I don't hate Stet, but why couldn't we get a chance to see some other QB's in mop up time in some of these late season games? If something were to happen to Bennett, we would have been ill-prepared to carry on.
As a graduate of UGA with a daughter that is a senior there, I love UGA and I always root for whoever is in the game. That doesn't mean I can't question, sometimes out loud, or on a fan board, the decision's by the coaching staff. It's not like Kirby is gonna listen anyway.

Seems like this whacky antistet stuff is pervasive right now. Im glad we are at least making a stand here.

1. I don't think he's a bum but I felt like we needed a better passing game than he provides. I thought a healthy JTD provides more of a vertical passing threat.
2. Not worried at all. Especially after he just won a championship.

Kirby is an old school type player/coach. You deal with dirty laundry behind closed doors. Not in public. I agree with this philosophy.
quote:We need to, probably. But that isn't Stetson's decision, and some are blaming him, it seems.

quote:You absolutely can question and criticize. That's not what has so many upset. It is a group of 3-4 posters that posted for 10-12 weeks that Stetson Bennett was garbage (yes one said that) and called Kirby a moron for playing Stetson. Being critical is ok. Attacking on a personal level? not ok.

They were not only attacking Stet and co, but here, too.

My favorite is the ones coming from "Real Dawgs", and ask, oh what year did you graduate from UGA?

False premise.
Please provide the quote by anyone on this board who stated that they "hate" Stetson Bennett.
Having said that, your 3rd option should read something like this:
3. You fully support Bennett and think it's wonderful that a former walk-on was able to rise above his limitations and deliver a NC to UGA but you feel that Georgia should be able to develop an NFL level QB (ex. like Matt Stafford) to lead our team in the future.

What’s wrong with speculating that there might be a more talented qb on the roster?
I’ve stated for the last few years that Cook was the more talented RB on our team and should get the ball more in our offense … but if I say the same thing towards our QB situation I’m a cünt bc of the snowflakes on this forum

Are you saying you don't really hate somebody unless you make a statement saying that?
quote:I have asked a couple of the posters several times if they could just say, "Stetson Bennett contributed to the National Champioship win."

None would do that. Not. One.

I think you need to realize very few Georgia fans "hate" stet. Theres a difference between criticizing the handling of the QB room and criticizing the kid directly

I think the concern here is that Kirby will look at QB1 as Stets job to lose. I just want to see Brock, Gunner and Stet to all have an equal chance of winning the job. I worry that Kirby will give the job to Stet unless Brock or Gunner are significantly better.
Maybe my angst is unjustified but thats how I see it

Be honest, is that all you have said on this matter?
