Every game has question marks going into it (week 1 was about fast start, backup qb, and who steps up at wr. Week 2 was fast start because of the weather, backup qb, and depth on defense).
We have a young OL.
How they handle the road environment should be one of the question marks this week.

Rusty in On3 posted the scores of first road SEC games from 2022-25...not pretty.
Don't expect the same due to arky being very bad but I'm sure it will be a point Kirby brings up

I won't claim to know the answer, but Stone and Jackson are the starting DT's. Without Stone, their interior DL group looks light on experienced depth to me. Stone has played the most snaps (119) of that group. Jackson has played 110 snaps and the top two backups are in the 30-40 range. After that they have about 3 guys with negligible game experience or stats. That entire group was light on returning experience anyway and of their current interior DL, Stone also had the most snaps during the 2025 season.

If so, I'm sure Oklahoma fans are relieved. That seemed like it could have been a serious problem for their defense going forward. I think their most experienced ILB, Lewis, is already out.

I just realized that Oklahoma added two more class of 2022 transfer DL to their roster on September 4th, who were slipped in under a last minute Oklahoma judge's restraining order against the 5 for 5 rule. It just goes to prove that someone is playing a dangerous game with the courts, picking and choosing who gets to play based on virtually meaningless criteria that were chosen after the courts had ruled in favor of the class of 2022 plaintiffs. At this point it raises questions about what's happening behind the scenes.
