Or, alternatively, a minor league system could be set up, so people with no business being in college wouldn't ever have to *be in college*. But, if the NCAA is gonna do it for free, that makes it tough to compete with.
Absolutely a zero chance a minor league FB league would work without huge subsidies from the NFL and the NFLPA would never agree to it and it makes no sense for the owners.

Are there any rules at all or can a billionaire alum offer a million dollar sponsorship to any 5 star that commits to his college team?

Don't know.
Looks like different schools have different rules.Bama supposedly "forbids" NIL to be used in recruiting. Its gonna be a clusterfrick without uniform rules.

There is a lot of semantics involved.
NIL isnt allowed before they enroll.
So technically, no one is NIL for recruiting.
There are sales pitches as to what is available after they enroll. I promise you that Bama has a program and that program isnt being kept a secret from recruits.

I have tried to imagined 10+ ways to keep this clean and keep striking out.

UGA’s list of what can and can’t be done was interesting.
You can have a paid lawyer/advisor for your NIL money making but not for your future career as a professional athlete? A bunch of agent/attorneys/advisors are soon to become NIL specialist. Not certain this makes sense (anymore).
No way they can forbid an “agent” from acting as an advisor in this role. Agents now just have to land deals for the athlete, take their cut, and establish the business relationship.

These kids are going to be more focused on the business aspect of it making money for themselves than they are on playing and winning the fricking games. That’s what i see happening.

It will communicated that nobody gives a hinkerschnink about their NIL if they aren't performing on the field.
