This is true...my son had it for sure.

Spent 5 days with respiratory virus and tested negative for everything and we took him to the Doctor twice.

This has been blown out of proportion because the majority of the population has already been exposed.

The only thing increasing the numbers is the fact that they will now be able to test for it.

BeefDawg, I think you are spot-on. It's an uncomfortable thing to realize.

I am pretty sure I had this shite back in late December right around Christmas. 4 straight days that met every symptom of this virus except for intense fever. Thankfully I was already off work so I just stayed at home the whole time. Still felt minor effects for several weeks afterward (coughing, phlegm buildup, random bouts of fatigue and body ache). I thought it was the weirdest sickness I had ever experienced at the time (it wasn't really a cold and it wasn't really the flu). Now things make sense.

I also had swine flu back when it hit and that was much harsher but also didn't last as long as this thing. This one is a weird one.

Ridiculous. I actually need toilet paper.

Just like that “gas shortage” that actually ended up happening because people thought there was a gas shortage.

Me too. There's hundreds of thousands or millions who have already had it here.

How old is your son?

0-9 age group is virtually immune to CV-19...based on what we know so far.

I feel like this is just a massive exercise to determine the government's ability to control its people. Too much will be learned from this.

There is nothing that supports this claim.

If this is true, then it’s true everywhere.

So explain:

Why did China suddenly get overwhelmed in January?
Why SK in FEB?
Why Italy in March?

Using your logic, should have been everywhere already, and None of these crisis should have occurred. Clearly that logic is way off.
The only reason you think it spiked in those countries more recently is because it wasn’t in the media and everyone wasn’t hyper-sensitive and over-paranoid.

Not to mention it’s coming out more and more that the incubation period of this virus is getting longer and longer. Some people in China tested positive back in December and only are just now beginning to feel sick. Some still have yet to have a single symptom.

People had it, but didn’t know what they had and didn’t think it was that bad, because it wasn’t. It was a nuisance chronic cough after a few days to a week of typical flu symptoms.

I guarantee you I have it if I were tested. But I haven’t had a single symptom in spite of being surrounded by my wife and kids who coughed for 2 straight months. I’m guessing it’s because they all have asthma and I don’t, so it hit them harder.

But since mid-February, everyone thinks anything they have is life-threatening because the media has told them so. So we’re seeing anyone with symptoms of anything in any of these countries flood to hospitals and clinics in unreasonable panic.

And they’re getting tested positive, and being told to drink fluids, take Motrin, rest, and self-quarantine at home, and they’re fine in a week, except for a nagging cough. Same thing they’re told when they have the flu.

Only people who are already immunodeficient and compromised are falling gravely ill and/or dying, or just being stuck with a chronic cough for a long while.

As I said, just wait and see. People who think they had the virus are going to eventually go to the doctor to get tested for antibodies, and it’s going to turn out millions in the US had this thing all the way back in late 2019.

I know it’s going to burst your bubble because you want this so bad so you can shite on Trump, but like everything else, you’re going to get beat at this one too.

I'm just saying I'm all for a wall being built if it's around China.

It’s laughable that in the midst of this largest and certainly unprecedented response to a medical emergency that anyone has ever seen the anti-Trump parrots are out crying because he’s ineffective and gutted our capabilities.

I guess we can all act like this is no big deal. I mean countries all over the world regularly shut pretty much everything down over no big deal. Seriously, Italy is deciding who to give a ventilator and who to let die in the hallway of the hospital over no big deal.

And lol to already having this in 2019 when this first cases were reported by China on December 31st.

You have to remember that for narcissists everything is about them. Therefore this entire thing is about Trump. His followers are seeing this through the lens that he’s projected. They think they’ve got some special ability to think about this problem, but in truth they don’t have any idea about it. The idea has them.

I expect an unnecessarily high 3% mortality rate. The virus got too big a jump on us.

It's getting a bigger jump on us still.

Of the travelers arriving right now from Europe, most of the infected are not symptomatic. That asymptomatic group is in the midst of a tight crowd for hours while a few infected travelers with fever are identified and taken away. The newly exposed mass of travelers will depart for places all around the country.

No one in control thinks--they just make stupid panic moves.

I assume President Wisenot would have banned China travel sometime back in January when this wasn't really a big deal, but to be precautionary. Then, I would assume President Wisenot would have banned European travel after it became apparent that many cases in the US were linked to EU travel.

Am I right so for, on what this president Wisenot would have done?

Y’all can Google Lombardy area of Italy. Thats the Milan area where a lot of Chinese live and work in the fashion MFG industry. They came back from Chinese New Year and it spread from there. The death rates there are at 13% . Thats a big deal and something y’all should consider before forming a hard stance on this. Trump had nothing to do with the Milan issues either.

This isn't an R vs D thing. Everyone just needs to shut up and stay home.
