With our WR core so crippled, we need to find creative ways to get the ball to people, at least until Pickens can play.

Jet sweeps, screen passes etc.

He have to get our RBs involved in the passing game.

Or better yet let's have them actually run the right routes, make adjustments and actually catch and throw the ball at a high level.

Need to throw to Wolf 5+ times today (especially in the RZ) instead of just once like usual.

Need Cook to get 5+ passing targets today. Especially a couple wheel routes and seam dumps, and not just checkdowns in the flats. Definitely a screen or two as well.

Need to NOT run the identical “counter-run” off-center/guards 15+ times, and instead run more off-tackles, especially to the wide side so we can simply race them around the edges with space if/when the box is stacked or gaps are clogged. A few toss sweeps as well, and a couple QB keepers. Fromm is obviously not a running QB, but countless times he has had the potential to pull the handoff and go for 8-12 yards around an edge but instead handed it off for a no-gainer.

Need to NOT telegraph an up the middle dive every freaking time Zamir White steps on the field. Throw the kid a couple passes and some outside zone runs for Christ sake. As it has been, when he lines up in the backfield, everyone on the planet knows he’s either going left or right of the center on a dive play. Just stop that stupid shite, Coley.

Need to NOT let Landers step on the field, and cut Simmons snaps to only a handful while never making him the primary receiving option. And if we’re going to run a reverse or jet sweep, do it with Robertson or Cook, for crap sake, not Simmons.

Need more middle/seam go-routes, skinny and deep posts, and accurate down-field passes. Especially Robertson and Pickens. Stop with every deep pass being a sideline. Fromm consistently sends those out of bounds uncatchable. And if you got 4 DB’s on 2 deep receivers, have a freaking seam route/checkdown to a TE or RB ready to snap off.

And for the love of God, if/when it’s 3rd and 8+, stop starting the reception behind the LoS, and don’t run a play with half the routes doing 6-yard curls, slants, and outs!!! Every damn route should be 8+ yards. There is nothing worse than being 3rd and 12 and watching Jake hit Simmons on a curl route at 6 yards, or even worse a receiver screen 2 yards behind the LoS. Freaking infuriating.

Anyway, we do most of this stuff and we have a great chance today. If we do what Coley has been doing all season, it’ll take a miracle.

We've used the short passes on 3rd and long in previous years and it was reasonably successful. It finally stopped working this year when teams realized our ability to throw further downfield is abysmally low and adjusted their coverage.

With a few exceptions, 3rd and 8+ will be a high percentage drive killer for this offense no matter what they do. I don't have much confidence in either Coley or Fromm to change that.

I'm just here to say the Oline will dominate this game.

To take pressure off Fromm we need to move the sticks on first and second down more often. If Fromm must convert 5 or 6 consecutive third downs to score we have no chance.

You don’t become WR at university of Georgia by sucking. They just need to do their jobs.

We've converted 24% on 3rd and 8 or more. Not sure how the rest of the league does.

passing is 12 out of 25.

It is a lot better to pass than run for them (as you can tell the running average pulls down the overall average).

I can admit that a lot of that was Cager. But other guys have been the man as well (Blaylock, Wolf, Robertson).we have the pieces. We just have to do our jobs

That stat is for 7-9 yds to go, not really the same as 8+ which I assume was being used to refer to longer yardage situations. For example, if you look at passing on 3rd and 10+ to go, we've converted 22%, which is below Tennessee, Florida, Alabama, Auburn, Arkansas, TAMU, Missouri, LSU. In other words, we're down in the dregs with teams that had really bad QB situations. In 2018 we were #2 in the SEC in passing for 10+ conversions.

Fair enough.
If you need more than 10 yards on 3rd down, there are other problems.

It's hard to call plays when your QB couldn't hit the broadside of a barn from 10 feet away

3rd and 9 and Coley calls a draw play that starts 3 yards behind the LoS.

The guy is just a shitty damn play caller.

it was the same counter run and a DL was completely unblocked. Identical look, though. Telegraphed like crazy as usual.
