Meanwhile On The Clemson Boards

Smart has proven he lacks the temperament and in game management ability to win a championship, but he’s been able to hang his hat on recruiting. Clearly that has changed. It appears the UGA administration has grown tired of his recruiting misses and has mandated he go after proven players in the portal, or start looking for a new job. And once a coach loses the confidence of the administration, well, we all know what happened to Larry Coker. At this point I give Smart no more than 3 years at Georgia.

He didn't have the grades to get into Florida, I guess UGA doesn't have the same standards.

I felt some respect for UGA and didn't have near the ill feelings towards UGA under Mark Richt as I do now under Kirby. It may just be me but I feel like UGA has almost sold it's soul by letting Kirby run the reigns. Just seems like everything is dirty, or tainted that he has brought into that program. All these Pre-season recruiting National Championships he has won and now on top of that he has the gill-nets out to catch any big fish in the portal now as well. So if he can't spend enough buying all the 5 stars he can get for several years, now he adds to his smelly ways.
All I can hope for is that he never gets any closer to a Natty than he has already which was more than he deserves. But on top of that, I hope these 5 stars see the same snake and start leaving the program in hordes and see him sucking up quality players from portal therefore delaying their time seeing the field, therefore driving his recruiting progress backwards.
We can only hope! And I don't hate UGA, many good people and friends have graduated from there but I can't shake the hate for Kirby and his snake oil.

They've always been a deranged bunch. They are like the LSU of the ACC.

Pot calling the kettle black here, considering Clemson uses a church to funnel money to their recruits.

Why the anger?
Exactly. Wasn't Derion Kendrick dismissed?

Dabo dismisses any player that enters portal. Was he dismissed prior to that?
Posted on 6/2/21 at 2:33 pm to deeprig9
Yes he was.
By the way, don't know if anyone else noticed, but all the charges against him have been dropped.

Dabo is the Sandusky of the ACC.

Doesn’t feel like it’s too early to say frick Clemson

This is typical Clemson, it has always been this way. They have beat us once in any of our players lives. They talk incessantly ...

That's because they could always count on two losses each year. He was never a threat.
Don't forget, it wasn't that long ago that Clemsoning was a thing.

I watched that Ohio State game. Pretty sure it's still a thing.

I could be wrong but after Arik got the boot from UF, didn't he get his act together and take some classes? I think I saw Terrance Edwards say he has made strides to improve himself from his low point last fall.

This is correct. From what I understand he has taken some online classes and will continue to do so this summer.

I don't see what the issue is then. The kid had some mental issues that needed to be cleared up and he's now on a good path.

I've always thought of Clemson and Auburn as similar. Both schools are in small, shithole towns. Both schools are academically inferior to UGA by a wide margin. The fan base of both programs is also demographically similar. Auburn had a pinnacle some years back based on their virtually non-existent standards and Clemson has enjoyed its top tier status more recently.
Interestingly, when either program sees other programs recruiting well, they are amazingly fast to claim that players are being paid or other recruiting illegalities are occurring. I wonder why?

Both Auburn and Clemson are cow colleges but I'd say Barner is much less cultish. The way Clemson reveres Dabo is very disturbing. I had some friends go to Clemson and I know it's not an easy school to get into, and this was years ago. I can't imagine it's gotten any easier. They're better academically than Barner for sure.
However, the Taters truly believe they're a shining city upon a hill. They seem to forget their little Ostarine scandal and those Newspring allegations.
