I think Jane could do better. I would play her before Landers.
All Landers had to do to score a TD was reach out his arms. I guess that took to much effort.

His arms were only about 70% extended, something is wrong with him.

Accuracy of the pass was the main issue. He clearly didn’t dive for the ball, but he tried to run under it, which requires effort, but it was too far off. He wouldn’t be playing if effort was an issue. Kirby doesn’t put up with that shite.

If Landers went after the ball with the kind of reckless abandon that Brian Herrien does, I would have no issues, even if he didn't make the catch.

Also dont understand why he is playing.

The toss sweep should be a keystone of every UGA offense.

Blaming the throw is moronic, WRs have to make catches and help the QB out, that ball was totally catchable...

Sure, If he dives, he might catch it circus style, which means it wasn’t “very catchable”.
Better option is for Fromm to hit him with a more accurate pass, which would have been “very catchable”.
You are a fricking idiot and need to stop talking about football. Core, basic, coaching for receivers teaches them to extend their body at the right time to maximize their reach. Science and 100 years of football tell us that if you can half assed stick one hand out and touch a ball, you can, with proper timing and body extension, get two hands on the ball. We don’t coach kids to only catch balls that hit them perfectly in the hands. In fact, division 1 receivers should be doing this as second nature. Receivers should expect to have to make plays on balls like that. To see him one hand short arm it in a game of that magnitude, let alone any game is very disappointing.

You could also say qbs have to make passes and help wrs out, right?
If you have to dive to just have a chance with 2 hands, the pass isn’t good.

You still have to dive.

Cte Pete in the house! As an OL from the ancient 80’s, he has never had a clue about receiving.

QBs job is way harder... not even close.

Landers should have laid out. 100% without a doubt.
But this is Jake Fromm. He doesn't hit receivers in stride with highlight reels of yards after the catch. The highlight reels are making the catch.
If this is one throw from Jake, that is one thing. But this is almost 15 throws a game where the receiver is making Jake look good or the receiver look bad for not extending better.
Jake can consistently hit the targets in the hands. But he isnt giving the targets opportunities after the catch. And with all of the balls from jake that are either just off the fingertips or a yard or 2 underthrown, there is nothing wrong as a fan acknowledging who jake is and who he isnt.

He had protection and an open wr, so how was his job throwing way harder?

I am rewatching the game as I type this and Jake was putting on an accuracy clinic in the first half, that crossing pattern to Robertson was an amazing pass.
The 2017 team caught what was thrown at them.
We have a few lazy wrs that think everything should just fall in their breadbasket.

I bet I have more receiving TDs in Sanford Stadium than you... and I coached receivers at the College level. And you are an idiot.

A deep pass with double coverage is thrown to a spot, the wrs job is to get there.

I don’t think you will have much success attempting to teach football to her.

The qb missed the spot. Wasn’t the first time it’s happened, and won’t be the last.

Agree, Fromm is not our problem. We would be rolling if our underclassman WRs stayed.
