I guess this is the way it should be after Newman quit.

I'm gonna have a big chuckle if JT or Beck gets to start and lights ut up. Would suit this year.

The daily infection rate is 100,000 and rapidly climbing as is the positivity rate. In actuality an estimated 300,000 people are being infected daily. The disease is on the rise. It's never been more important for us to protect ourselves and others. Have a safe and happy Thanksgiving. Next year will be better.

I suspect getting players to keep following the rules is getting difficult at programs where their goals are basically out of reach. That could make it difficult to finish the season.

Vaccines.

You never thought COVID would be an extraordinary mass killer.

So trump told the truth weeks ago when he said "we are weeks away from having a vaccine"?

If you're 65+ years old or have serious health problems, you should be very careful.

For everyone else, go live your lives.

While spot on the problem is that it is not possible for people with underlying health issues to avoid those who do not have those conditions unless everyone is making an effort to avoid crowds. I have a 21 year old son who is healthy as a horse and is, as most 21 year olds are, on the prowl and living his life as close to normal as current conditions allow. I also am fortunate enough to have 2 parents still alive at 81 and 80 respectively, both pretty healthy for 80 year olds but still with some underlying conditions that place them in a higher risk category than me at 55. Other than being 55 my risk is relatively low as I do not have any underlying conditions that I am aware of. My son could easily contact the virus and get it and never show any signs to speak of. He could spread it myself or my wife and maybe we have some mild symptons or not but we are contagious before those show up and I have to take my Dad to a doctors appointment...if you don't have aging parents trust me, they live their lives in doctors offices. So my son, as low a risk as we can get, infects my father. All of us doing what we can to prevent it but it happens. This story plays out thousands of time and you have a situation like they have in El Paso currently. It is a mess. Regardless of the political BS there is no good answer other than being careful and responsible for ourselves and others when possible. The specter of widespread hospital shortages which prevent people WITHOUT COVID from receiving routine care is real. We have managed to avoid it because we have a LOT of hospital beds in population centers and we have all sacrificed to some extent. But that threat is real and, apparently, our sacrificing to the extent we have is almost over. I don't like it anymore than anyone else and I have been skeptical all along but we, as a nation, all things considered, have almost reached the turning point....itd be a shame for a bunch of people to die needlessly because we are fed up with being careful of others.

I'm not weeks away from having my vaccine.

The Pfizer vaccine will eventually be available but we still don't know how long its protection lasts.

Hundreds of thousands of Americans died needlessly because Trump refused to use his power to test and trace aggressively. In Asia leaders did test and trace aggressively.

I can't speak intelligently about the French people, but when I see the list, I see overweight unhealthy countries at the top and skinny rice eaters at the bottom.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say this is a major factor.

Australians had similar low numbers but the Aussies are athletic and they aggressively tested. New Zealand the same.

They are also island isolated with a very low population density with a tiny GDP, other than that its a spot on. I just hate to see all these College football players needlessly die from this thing.
