Let's create a definitive recap of things we learn after every game.
We continue to confirm Fromm excels at playing hurry up
Personnel issues got better as the game went along
Surprisingly, our secondary didn't look great against down the field passes...

still need to get better at tackling and time management

It drives me crazy when we try and rip the ball out and let them get another 2-3 yards down the field.

Pass rush, pass rush, pass rush...... we need some, Nuff said!

We have to be better on both lines. Our goal line flop was pretty disappointing. Our DL got pushed around a good bit as well. Hopefully Cleveland and Marshall can come back next week and help out.

The goal line thing wasn't because the line didn't get "push".
It was because we foolishly ran a bunch formation, with a deep set tailback, and the OL pinching in. It made it easy for a talented and speedy DL to crash down on the dive or sneak and make a play.
That humiliation is much more on bad design from coaches than the OL not getting it done.

Bad design and stubbornness to stick with it for seven plays.

You're not thinking tactically, dude. After something fails 6 times, there's no way the defense will be expecting it a 7th time.

Fromm could have walked had we just ran a bootleg.
Chaney drives me freakin nuts sometimes.

I would have like to seen a toss sweep to the wide side of the field.

we never blocked that guy coming from the UF defense who kept tackling our rb while we were running left on that failed goalline series..pretty sure the coaches will look at this as I'm sure UK will try that as well..

That’s by design... our tight splits and his speed blew it up. Tackle will have to chip, then block down. Easy fix.

We learned this board is filled with whiny little bitches

We basically ran the same play 3 times, and the same defender made the tackle 3 times. Unbelievably terrible.

3rd and Chaney.
Is there any possibility that getting blown out in the SEC CG would be enough pretext to not renew Chaney's contract? It's hard to believe there's no better offensive minds in the assistant coaching ranks out there.

This. An OC has to know the limitations of his offense. Our best OL is out. We had 2 OL hurt and playing hurt. It was obvious we would never be able to blow Florida off the ball in a packed in goal line situation. We should have run our standard offense and spread the field. I would have brought in Fields with an option to pass or run. There's no way Florida would have stopped that offense from getting 1 yard 6 times.

Football lesson here... bunch formations are more about having multiple TEs or H backs or even receivers close to the primary lineman. There are advantages to running it on pass and run plays...
Splits are the distance between the lineman. Usually on sneaks and close yardage plays, you will run tight splits. You are not creating holes as much as getting push for the back/QB to follow.
UF, to their credit, did not let us get push. This along with the tighter splits and the deeper set up of our Rbs also, allows the DE to pinch in and affect the Rbs, if the line gets push, I don’t think it matters... but since our line was held our pushed back, it slowed our RB down as there was really nowhere to go.
This was on our line. They got whipped. It was disconcerting. Glad they were able to shake it off and finish strong.

I hope their eyes are taped open and they are forced to watch that abysmal effort on repeat for 48 hours straight.
