Kirby Smart was talking about Darnell Washington and it turned into this. "You can never have enough good tight ends in the SEC. ...We want as many as we can get, and we want to get them the ball.”

Yep. I was thinking in the moment, that throwing to Washington several times in a row was not by accident.

That's laughable, but I hope the kid comes to UGA.

Truth. Name the last time we targeted a TE 3/4 times? It was a show move.

Washington had a video after the game saying he would be excited to share the field with Arik

This is frustrating. Washington is a weapon. Getting Gilbert shouldn't be what prompts him to get targets.

I think it was also intended to make big 0 happy. He probably hasn't been too happy with his lack of action in the receiving game. Killing 2 birds with one stone I suppose...

Kirby is like an exotic car collector who just admires his garaged collection. It is maddening.

I am not sure if it QB quality, receiver quality or coaching but if you look at Bama this year, FL against us, and LSU last year..they tossed "50/50" balls all day long.

This was the first game I truly saw us doing that.

The idea of Gilbert and Big 0 in a two TE formation is a scary thought.

Still, there's only one ball and with the receivers we have coming back, too...I guess you need a QB to really distribute it. Daniels is good that way but will Smart really embrace the idea of using TE's for multiple targets per game?

I think we hit Nauta 4 plays in a row once.

I was thinking JT just discovered Washington. After seeing how big and how good his hands were he was was like WTF, so the threw to the giant the next 3 plays. It was like he found a new toy.

They are not really 50/50 balls in man coverage. They are 33% we catch it. 33% incomplete, 20% PI , 10% catch out of bounds, 3% INT.
