I understand wanting your staff, your system, but I really just have trouble seeing a decent reason to let Pruitt go. Everything thus far I have enjoyed as a fan except this, I think that is a mistake.

I think Pruitt has likely been too powerful of a force for change to stay on with a new staff, in a way. He has to go for the same reasons that he was so good for Georgia.

If Smart and Pruitt butt heads (inevitable with Pruitt), where do the players' loyalties lie? A first-time HC who's trying to create a new culture needs a clear chain of command imo.

Well said, that's been my feeling, even though there's a measure of affection for what Pruitt has done for the program.

ETA - in terms the hardliner Richt hangers-on will understand: Jeremy Pruitt is UGA's John the Baptist, heralding Kirby's arrival.

I imagine Pruitt and What's his name would create a managerial challenge for Saban tho

CJP will definitely cause static in The Process, because that's what he does. That's not to say Saban will deal with it, of course. He doesn't have time for that shite.

He will be there for two years max. I think Bama sees it as a short term bandaid to keep the recruiting momentum.

This. He'll find a HC job soon and jump at it.

guy on teh rivals board who has been absolutely lights out this whole time said that we pretty much know who the OC is and should be announced within 48 hours.

Also it appears cut and dry for us to keep eason, and we look solid for nauta. Also it's being reported SAE is hosting a welcome back kirby party which I have to imagine eason will make his way to..

Good- seems like that would have been a big distraction and kind of weird for him to be there

hmmmmmm....

I know we were doing the weird setup this year so richt could have his time with the seniors while the recruits were with kirby. Now with richt not coming, I wonder if things will change?

Hope not. The Gala is boring as frick for recruits. What 18 year old wants to dress up in a tux and shmooze with a bunch of old rich people at an awards banquet that they're not even a part of? Hoping they're off enjoying all the steam being blown off around Athens in the middle of Finals week

The gala is a blast afterwards though. Every single player (pretty much) goes downtown and they go hard.

Exactly. Go do dinner in the Sanford skyboxes or something and then chaffeur them up to Clayton, drop them off to Aulden and Ryne, and tell them God be with you.

Pruitt no longer a DC candidate at Michigan. Looks like this guy is staying to haunt us in the south if we dont retain him.

I'm just hoping that it's very common knowledge on our team the pictures and vids that came out when eason went to UF. Surely with the proper motivation we will not only meet but far exceed what he got on that visit.

The gala is fine but the timing is dumb for recruits that aren't EEs. Lets other schools have the last OVs by design.
