would go down as one of the worst loses in the history of the rivalry. I just don't see Kirby allowing our boys to not be ready and fired up for this game. I expect to see a half empty stadium by the third quarter.

That is the way it should go.

Hope you are right.

I still suffer from watching too many games when Spurirrer (POS) was their coach.

They will be motivated and have been improving each week. Could be a battle, at least early.

You need to talk to somebody about that.

That was 25-30 years ago

Right.... I was in college then so I saw it first hand.

I saw my first UGA vs UF game in 1989. UF still had Gallen Hall and Emmett Smith played. It was a great game and the fact we won did not hurt either.

Then we lost the next 7. My college years.

Packing for for my (no idea how many) WLOCP. Headed to Amelia in the morning. I really hope we don’t lose this tradition. We already have a horrible home schedule most years. You can’t hotels near Athens. There will be more and more noon games. It’s almost to the point season tickets aren’t worth it.

The new SEC schedule should fix that. Hard to see a scenario where you don’t get at least 2-3 marquee name conference home games a year the way they’re talking about doing it.

I agree on Jacksonville though. It’s such a great environment and it’s been part of the fabric of not just UGA and UF football, but the whole SEC for so long.

It is a "me" problem, but I disagree with the idea of 9 conference games as a gateway to have more, better home games.
It won't be better. By definition, it is more of the same.

This is their Superbowl. They have little else to play for this year. They will give us everything they have.

Agreed. We have to come out early with stops to quiet their crowd.

Crank the pressure up on their offense by scoring touchdowns on our first few drives. This is a game where should strive to start as white hot as possible.

Go up 14-0 or more and put them into "comeback mode" and make them have to abandon the run in favor of more passing, and then sit back and let AR self destruct and hand us the ball back.

People really need to stop with how much better things would be if we went home/home with UF.

Including Kirby.

To be fair, it’s hard to fully dodge when reporters keep asking him 6 times a week.

He’s tried to deflect to a good degree this week.

I agree.

We play Auburn and Georgia Tech every other year.
When we are 20 point favorites, everyone bitches about how bad our home slate is.

We play Florida in JAX and are 20 point favorites, and the game is an "event" every year.
Just like Auburn and GT, it would be bitched about as a crappy home slate on the home and home.

The game is special because of JAX. Not because of the opponent.
