Athens doesn’t have a beach or even hotels you can stay game weekend

No comment. Just saving documentation

most Georgia folks are disproportionately concentrated in North Georgia.

I’d like to see some documentation on that please

I’ve seen enough. It’s happening:

The debate on whether to keep GA/FL in Jax or bring it back home is the new line in the sand. Just like Stet vs JT was last year

Not like you’d need permission, but please keep yapping CÙNTS.

There is a large UGA fanbase in Florida as well.

Brilliant logic by “metro atlanta dawgs”.

You can’t make it up

You suggest taking something away from Dawg fans who have grown up and built their Fandom around the game in Jacksonville?

That is your stance?

I'm not advocating for a new neutral game.
I'm advocating keeping a game in the city with the largest active alumni association outside the city of Atlanta.

I've always viewed GA/FL as a bone thrown to the South Georgia Dawg fans

Perhaps 30+ years ago but with high priority given to season ticket holders for this game and fewer tickets available than Athens it's basically the same fans that heads up to Athens every Saturday.

There was never a bone thrown to South Georgia . Like everything else in this world, the game is there for $$$

Some money men opened a stadium in Jacksonville and wanted a pay day. And they got it. And are still getting it

You don't think any of them are from Savannah, Macon, or other areas South?

Sure but a much larger percentage are from metro Atlanta than 30+ years ago.
Obviously because of population shifts and higher percentages of graduates/students compared to central and south Georgia.

90 years ago, game locations were chosen by access to railroads.

But a smart guy like you knew that.

Guyz, the reason the game is played in Jacksonville is because of railroad access. It has absolutely nothing to do with the love of money, the lobbyists for the city of Jacksonville/it’s business owners/and the state of Florida, or the corporate sponsorships, network deals, or the owners of the stadium, or any of the other assorted grifters that feed off of it. Nope. Its played there due to trains tracks. But also for a charitable bone throw to South Georgia too. Its all on wikipedia. So nanny nanny boo boo

But with beaches and hotels.
